They’re a bit too expensive to really be called practical though

You’d be better off using the arena to increase bond levels between a unit and their allocated emblem ring

if I did a calculated choice but it ends up in a death I generally try not to reset and carry on

because I actually always check if the enemy can crit

and I follow pokemon nuzlocke content and one of the biggest meme in that community is to "playing around the crit"

even though pokemon has 1 in 16 chance to crit, its never zero, so you often want to use a pokemon that can't die to a crit, just in case

and if they die, you can't really say that death happened randomly

and I know this is a bit personal preference but I don't have much big of an issue with some rng fucking you over even though there will instances where you won't have to chance to play around it

The only problem is that the maps are HUGE

And you can't rescue units

But I do know that most footlocked units become extremely powerful when promoted

Some even gain cavalier

And there's one character in chapter 2 who starts off very weak, but has one of the best promotions in the game

It just gives +7 to strength, health, speed, defense, and +4 to skill.

And A rank in all weapons

While myrmidons don't crit, they usually have a skill which is just as useful as a crit if not more useful

They'll either have astra or luna, or both

The trading system is weird too. Each unit has their own cash that they use, and instead of trading directly, they sell their items at a pawn shop, then other units buy from that pawn shop

I don't think so. There are some units in the bonus paralogue that have unique skills, those skills are garunteed to be inherited

Actually I'm not entirely sure now that I think about it

You might be able to change what the unit inherits depending on what the parents have once before you enter the prologue.

You can probably exit out of it and change what the parents have to change what the child unit inherits too

Cause I know with lunatic+ you can exit and re-enter the map to get a better roll on what skills the enemy has

How do most people play awakening?

Do they grind supports and play matchmaker or do a lot of people just rush through the main maps

mostly rush through main maps, but it ultimately depends on what I feel like doing

I don't really like how the game punishes you for not engaging with the matchmaking aspect of the game

I don't really do supports because in the previous games I played I got the lasting impression that support are just side content that can be safely skipped without any issue

but here you're missing out on a lot of chars if you don't dabble with it that much

tbh I never really bother with all of the child units prologues. If 2 of my units happened to get S rank with each other, I was like "Oh that's cool!"

Though it doesn't help that it's harder to grind in hard mode due to the reeking boxes being 4000 instead of 500, and in lunatic it's 4800 (why IS why)

They'll change depending on the class, same with max stat caps

He got terrified as well. Sadly it was on easy mode too so the black knight never moved. That being said, the first friend got past the bridge chapter, and is now on the chapter where the black knight pops up for a bit.

In isolation I don't think that factor alone is too bad because there's a lot of good stuff in the games and the first few times it was fine but after awhile I kinda don't wanna give the series a pass for it anymore especially when they completely changed the art style to a direction I don't care for

Not to mention I just haven't heard anyone praise the new game anywhere near as much 3 houses
