I am stuck on an island unable to leave because my boat only turns in circles to the right and lists to the side. In addition, the flora/fauna disappeared (a restart fixed that but didn't fix my boat). I uploaded a bug report in-game but I cannot play because I am stuck on this island and can't get home.

I had a symptom much like that, I had built a drop box too close tot he rudder.

I don't have a drop box. I do have a fence box but it isn't near the rudder, it is near-ish the front of the raft.
