Why? That doesn't seem like something you'd made in a survival game, or would be useful in the game.

because the raft is a slow moving mobile base whose speed is capped just under swimming speed so you don't lose it if you get washed overboard. some quests require numerous island trips to load up on components and the painfully slow raft speed introduces a lot of waiting time that gets old after the 10th trip and hurts the fun factor. there are lots of surplus materials in the game that aren't being used (surfboards, plastics etc) so if we're making wine racks, we could also make a faster-than-raft windsurfer.

Yeah, still be pointless to have something like this in game. It's not practical at all. But you do you.
I would like the rafts to be faster or there to be something faster... but not a Windsurfer. Just my thoughts.

Raft is the obvious best choice for survival
