Have you not watched the trailer on steam? It shows like a skeleton type pirate enemy with swords I think in the game trailer

Goto the steam store page for the game and goto around 30 seconds into the trailer, they aren’t in the game yet but I guess they will be at some point

I didn't like the skeleton pirates. A bit weird for a game with a modern setting with submarines and planes... I just want more wild animals. I would be okay with pirates if they were limited and more of a modern type - so a small pirate boat with a bunch of guys with AK-47s that are rare but super dangerous (there should be an option to join the pirates off in the game settings). Ultimately, pirates and human enemies are not a major interest for me - but definitely want to see more animals like the saltwater crocodile. There are crocodiles in the game - but not yet put in the public version.

I think maybe the skeleton pirates appeared if your sanity got too low? I’m not sure really I mean if they are not coming back to the game maybe the devs should update or change the trailer for the game

Actually I wouldn't mind if they are what attacks you when you lose your sanity - hulicinating skeleton pirates actually sounds cool. Just so long as they don't become part of the real world - and just exist in your mind.

Yes, real modern day pirates would be cool - like you see in the comedy movie "Six days Seven nights" - the two characters are in a plane crash and stuck on the island together where they need to survive and avoid pirates. So I reckon skeleton pirates could attack you when you go insane and real (modern day) pirates like you see in Six days seven nights could be a risk in the real world.

It's a really good movie. For a slightly older on that is still pretty good you can try "Captain Ron". A family inherits a yacht that has fallen in to disrepair. They hire a captain to take them to a different port for it to be sold and Captain Ron turns out to be a little but nuts. It is a comedy.

This is still an alpha so it is not unusual for some features to be missing. You might find they pop up as an insanity feature in the future - where the player goes insane and hulicinates the pirate skeletons.
