I’ll preface this with I’m playing on Steam Deck, but since there is supposed to be full controller support, I don’t think that’s interfering with what’s happening.

The starting tutorial: if you pick up an item before a specific step in the tutorial, it won’t advance. For example, I picked up a stone and smashed it before I picked up a small stick, then couldn’t get it to register picking up a stone shard no matter how many stones I picked up and threw. If you swim ashore and pick up a small stick before the tutorial actually triggers, it won’t register that you’re picking up small sticks and move to the stone step. Etc etc.

Backpack is broken. It will tell you when the inventory is full for small sticks but you can continue picking up infinite items for inside the bag. The items just sorta disappear.
If you build a drop storage thing, you can drop EVERYTHING you picked up, including the bajillion things that didn’t actually display in your backpack. I suspect this is also causing a performance drop in the background somewhere.

No way to remove stagnant water from sliced coconuts that I could find. Tried dragging them back into the backpack, smashing them with tools. Accidentally hit A trying to pick it up like you can with the turtle shell (which sloshes the water out) but instead I just drank the water and got double debuffed. It boils on the campfire but stays stagnant, so you can still make tea but it’s stagnant tea.
