Its been an issue for literal years, like as old as the game. Igg doesn't care about making the game fair.

The issue is the matchmaking metrics more than anyone performing shenanigans with registration, thats almost all voodoo, not actually affecting matches.

And even if they did make matching more fair, there's always the issue of time and availability -- two whales each with 500M might, but one of them only plays 2 hours in the evening while the other plays 14 hours a day

That's something that could actually be taken in to account for matching. The game does track time played and could line it up with events. It'd be a little extra work, but it isn't impossible to get a historic idea of a person's activity.

I do think it's a more complicated issue than people are making it out to be.

On the one hand, if someone is doing their own thing and wants to keep an alliance in their own hands, maybe some kind of toggle to make leadership not transfer on inactivity could be nice.

HOWEVER
On the flip side, this obviously has massive implications for large collaborative groups being held hostage and valuable alliance shells being lost to random irl events out of people's control.

Without the mechanism to automatically pass leadership, I see far more people being negatively impacted than positive.

Maybe having some kind of vacation mode setting with a long cooldown to give r5s like a few extra days not to log in is ok. But really, its a game designed for working and trusting others.

I think many of us, myself included, always struggle a lot, for example in the AR event and can't reach half of the points required to obtain rewards (80 million at some points). I crash against whales, maybe get between 500k to 1kk points, of course losing a lot of troops, and the whale gets even more from the exchange.

So I would like to know more about it.

For smaller players, hitting whales is definitely not the way.

The best points come from joining rallies and garrisons.

If you can find people on the field and mark them who are your size or smaller, that's the most lucrative, but highest effort too and doesn't help team as much directly.

Tbh im in the same boat though.
I find myself using everything and never really ranking high. Part of it comes down to chronic low troop count. If you cant fill a couple squads all event long, it gets hard to score high

Harder to compare, but there are a lot of infantry for example that can out run her.
Infantry base speed isn't as much lower than riders as people tend to think.
If the enemy is running miya, Eileen, bodala, adut, etc in pairs, they are adding a lot of move speed to that

Pretty sure even some ranged squads like Sophie spectra with a couple speed hones could probably outrun chasey. And ranged base travel speed is abysmal

Actually might not even need the speed hones if your rider combo has 0 bonus speed

Quite a bit slower, she also takes time to maximize her damage. She's more used to stand and fight not run and hit.

that's good, he adds less speed than daryl or janet, but he's 3rd best for that and ofc good synergy with chasey. So yeah, if you can hunt down people and stick to them it works, but it's kind of playing against their strengths imo. Like ichigo says

then referenced chasey, which isnt typically desiring move speed, because isnt typically the choice for a fast rider

When you transfered the hones, then you can safely reset your items and get thee copies necessary to get your item back, only last hones is dusted and you have to redo the hones on that

every pack used to be gem straight to your gem count, but igg had an update where they started to give you bag gems so that those packs don't fulfill the quest anymore

Its not fully rng. If you have like 3 1's make sure to combine them when you arent at a negative slow speed debuff for example. It has rng but its not purely that.
