That's because you are running 4 infantry squads, most people (players like Death and stronger) only run 1 infantry because they are the weakest in the field. So for that Bodala/Claude is better because no one wants to focus that squad when the others are doing so much damage

Considering you ranked top 6 last time, you'll barely get top 30 with the new incoming garrison ranged hero, you always want to do your new hero TC around 2-1.5 months later after its release because the whales will just overwhelm top positions early (coming from experience i had to train 1m inf troops)

Im just comparing say 75%/25% field/rally-garrison type fighting compared to say 50/50. The more rally fighting you do the more deaths you rack up.

There have been ARs where I’ve gotten 200k or so dead because the rally fights were so long. There’s a benefit and cost to doing more fighting that way.
