No my friend its not how it works..your method of tracking spending is flawed if you are looking at the donation vault

1. gold in vault is recycled, meaning alliance pays you out for events and being r4 you just re-donate so its same gold beying in and out
2. gold donated to vault isn't just bought, its recieved from places like auction house and creative fund rewards which give you about 10k gold every 2 months if you submit 10 videos and 10 pics
3. All gold bought is through monthly or weekly passes which is basically at 100% bonus OR you buying at 25% rates with vouchers.. roughly 40% discount life time

So what is shown as 5000$ in vault donations is actually 3000$ or less real funds- meaning if I get back 3k on my account i am clear

Regarding the topic of Battle Rating as examined in one of Z's recent videos i want to add that resetting hero skills back to 1/1/1/1 reduces the battle rating. I tested it today that is registeration day for Pompei and i can see my BR. It went down by 150k resetting the skills of a 5/5/5/3 Daryll to 1/1/1/1.

Talent resetting seems to be working aswell for battle rating in pompei at least

Its about 1k br points for every talent tree point you reset. The gains even if you do that to all heroes you wont be using are marginal but it works.
