Preadtors rage is still a flat 10% chance to proc. Just because you proc another basic attack in the same second, doesn't mean you go to a 20% chance to proc, it just means you flip a 1/10 chance to proc it again. And even if you were to get your rage skill proc rotation to sub 5 seconds, chasey and rick still have 5 second duration rage skills, so even with the standard 6 second rage skill rotation currently, you only have 1 second of downtime. So the gain there is mid at best.

Neither one of them have a "Use your rage skill X amount of times to deal Y amount of bonus damage", so the 20% faster rage skill proc you're firing by going from 6 seconds to 5 doesn't gain anything added other than the 1 second faster proc. The final talent in the Attack tree however does give a flat Dmg % bonus, which would be a multiplier against the 400%+ basic atk damage Chasey is already providing, and the high skill damage Rick in turn would have with his skill damage, from Basic converted to Skill damage scaling for his awakened skill.

The bonus rage regen would shine if either of them had a high flat damage rage skill to be used, however they don't, they just deal damage repeatedly over an elongated period of time, which is already nearly the full duration of rage generation time for heroes today.

I do mention in my video that Chasey's 3rd skill lashing whip provides 20 bonus rage per additional basic attack, which may or may not be synergized with Rick's bonus basic attack's he's firing if you're in the silenced state and have that state active, and could provide bonus rage regen if that's the case. However it would be very niche to Julia silencing you, and would have to allow for the bonus trigger to be applicable to not only chasey's bonus basic attacks. However, as mentioned as well, it's not likely, but we've seen IGG verbiage do other mysteries from what's said in a description.

If you are releasing your skills 1 second earlier you will be at the advantage
That's why skills talent tree is op
You may think that that 10% chance is slim but it's very impacful because it takes just one trigger from that talent to give you an edge when it comes triggering skill compared to your opponent

With Rick you will have more chances to trigger that talent due to 1st skill giving extra basic attacks

With attack tree you don't even have extra rage gain pretty much and I feel like whoever uses that tree while using Rick as lead will be shooting themselves in the foot

Wrong yet again, The Attack tree provides Victory Pursuit which provides a 15% Rage Recovery Speed boost for 3 seconds, on top of a flat 3% Squad DMG buff. Let's take the standard 6 second rage skill proc timer on a rally or garrison, and dial it back by 1 second for the loss of a few nodes that generate guaranteed rage from the Skills tree. 1000 rage / 7 still means that you're generating nearly 150 rage per second. 150 x .15 means that it gives you a bonus 22.5 bonus rage regen per second for 3 seconds which surpasses that of even Raging Fire from the skills talent tree which gives 60 rage after using a skill.

Again you mention having an edge from the Skills talent tree, but that advantage is seen by high damage single proc rage skills, and especially those that proc an AOE skill for rage like Ethan garrison, or Ethan, Bard, etc. on rallies. It gives no clear advantage to go "oh I can hurry and proc my skill 1 second faster" just to then proc a skill that sees benefit over the next 5 seconds anyways.

The only guaranteed rage regen that the Skills Talent Tree provides is Raging Fire (60 Rage after using a skill) and Howl of Fury which is 8 Rage, which the Attack Tree matches and even surpasses with Victory Pursuit. But sure, let's say it's a 2 second loss because you somehow have the luck of someone that should be buying a lottery ticket and you're proc'ing the 10% rage regen chance at the end of the Skills talent tree more often than you should, even then, it's still an elongated skill use, not a high single damage skill use where the massive amount of bonus skill damage being dealt 2 seconds sooner over the extent of a 15-30 minute garrison or rally would clearly be seen.

I think it'll be the same overall effect that we see today, just finally a hero pair that demands a tree outside the norm today.

Your first statement there is just outright false, which is crazy to me. You're saying that a 16k Flat damage skill, guaranteed, and with AOE hitting nearby marches and multiple rallies being proc'd 20% more often, is somehow equally as vital to a hero that does something similar, but with a 30% chance to do it. Guaranteed vs 30% chance, equally viable, got it.

Triggering it first, triggering it 2nd, triggering it 3rd doesn't matter. Yes you will use the skill more often, 20% more often at that, but the outcome isn't guaranteed because you're still coin flipping the benefit on a 30% chance, and the tradeoff for it is that you're losing 21% bonus basic atk damage, and 15% flat squad damage, with a hero pair that scales on both of those things.

Which again, we are seeing minimal gains of from 1 second to MAYBE 2 second faster rage skill rotation if you're INSANELY lucky and can proc the Predators Rage talent 1-2 times in 6 seconds.

I have chasey felix right now and I had to put decent counter in the pango and 36% counter damage from the squad armament to handle swarms and multiple rallies. Also having the extra 8% damage reduction from garrison tech tree, this helped alot. Adding Rick in top of this will be better for my case, but by default they need some gear to support swarm multiple rallies

I understand the total might metric is what they at least wanted to implement. The type of troops and quantity needs to be ponderated in the matchmaking so there is less situations where 1 alliance with 1B worth t5 troops fights against another alliance 1B worth t6 for example. This is why the battlerating was introduced and it's higher than the might. Unfortunately this means that alliances need to have extra attention on each player quantity of troops and activity, players that do not participate but have many troops or too many cars, are dead weight

I'm saying battle rating doesn't actually do what it's supposed to, because it's also just a modfied total might with no proper team dynamic measures. It essentially weights troops heavy, and everything that really matters in punching power far too low.

Having run the full gamut over years playing of cutting, swapping shells, going in heavy, going in light, etc etc, I am fairly confident it doesn't matter. You're just as likely to roll a team rated 80% stronger than you anyways, never minding that the rating itself isn't measuring anything well.

If you have a higher proportion of heavy spenders who remotely know how to play, you win. If you have mostly f2p or low spenders and rely on small numbers of whales, its pain. It's never fun

True. It's also the fact that the battlerating is not something you can see anytime or know how it's computed for your account, probably a strong hint that IGG wants this matchmaking to happen. I do not think they will benefit from players facing other players with the same capacity, equipment, workshops, etc. But the troop and extreme battlerating control helped me alot in my current alliance. There is always elite players that came to fearless, something extra is needed to fight those opponents

Not necessarily. It isn't always pain as f2p/low spenders. There is some matchmaking gambling still where you sometimes have great matches. But I guess there is pain in that gamble, because it's a whole month before you get to spin the wheel again if you land on a bad match.
