as you rightly pointed out, if it was auto complete, i would have expected farmers to be recalled and sent out to the proper nodes to complete the task, but it didn't. it also didn't use any of the buffs (food buff, etc) or hones to complete the tasks. it just marks them complete for basically free daily rewards without the effort required previously

might is simply measurement to eligible for event.
rating is a hidden element of which will pair you vs enemy.

during pompeii, you can check your alliance's rating, and see where the high rating came from.

It seems to me your alliance's ratings are very high to be paired with those high might alliance

All I do is friendly pvp and not join rallies. I just get points for max rewards and contribute nothing to my alliance. Best way to play.

I like to come out of events without a single death to my troops.

They designate an agreed T5 PvP area and i mow it down with a squad of 5x T6 for a lot of points... that is how I play
