in my experience, the more you spend, the higher the likelihood you're going to be matched in the whale spending groups to encourage more spending. it may be better to just acquire the cores as f2p, and then do one final spend burst to complete the transcendance, in order to avoid the internal spend designation

With this 500 alliance help cap, I fear it won't matter what state your heroes are in. Just playing this past IR in Elite proved unsustainable. just back-of-the-napkin math...if an alliance max cap is like 174, and they're active in events, they're bringing at least 30 heal bots to the event. that's about 20% of the alliance number. multiply that out by the thousands of alliances participating in pvp events, that's a pretty big number of accounts that they just rendered useless. they can justify shutting off some of the servers for that for a good chunk of savings.
