I think 30% defense reduction seems like a lot, but in other heroes where it's a condition, your real dps gain doesn't change a ton. I think there's so many more powerful defensive stats in the game that defense reduction gets masked pretty well in trades now

I'm not sure I'd be willing to trade the dps gain from skills talent tree just for that debuff to trigger before assistants skill

the reason why i highly praise Bard on field highly is bcs he has circular aoe and how he interacts with it as ranged squad

when you get focused, which you will as a ranged squad, you will swarmed by many squads
Bard circular aoe can be a counter to that by hitting most of the enemy squads that swarm you making your trades equal if not better
their hero is doing 10k skill dmg to me, guess what, im doing 10k in return to them without the need to target them, thats a win if you ask me

If you have something like this to protect your ranged i belive they should be considered the best
