If you’re garrison and rally, but range, range has 20% higher base atk than infantry does so naturally getting atk / lethality hones will scale / be 20% more effective than infantry players. So I’d run a 60/40 offensive / defensive mix. 70/30 if you’re on offense far more than defense

No. He’s an extremely smart player and plays to his account build. If I’m a glass cannon build I’m not looking to directly tank damage either. He exploits weaknesses with his build. He plays very well.

It’s a niche build to be a glass cannon vs a tank build, you’ll be utilized far more often as a tank than a glass cannon because it’s typically far easier to counter a glass cannon; but both builds depend on other players / rallies to make your build shine.

If you’re running 2 builds, yes, you can because you can use the tank build on garrison especially vs 3 rallies. And use the offensive one if you’re counter rallying and want to clear with AOE, or are 2nd / 3rd rallying and want to just destroy with your report, or even 1v1 garrison vs their rally and you just want to out damage it. If you have the means for 2 sets, it can be very effective. Usually it’s far better to be amazing at one role (tank or offense) than it is to be okay at both by running a hybrid

By running a full damage mitigation build it means I can run Stella / Marco and face tank towers and not take poor trades, while also cutting the HP of the garrison to make the 2nd and 3rd rallies / swarms on towers shine exponentially. So while yes, I’m losing out on damage output, that’s not my overall goal of my armaments; I look at my beasts to do that for me, or strategically my allies in multi rally scenarios.
