if your teams stronger they probably get more capture rewards and so on

maybe late game it'd make more sense if you're looking for good matchmaking but otherwise just being the strongest wont equate to much

how is gold generally distributed in alliances?

depends on the leadership and how they decide to, frankly theres no right way to do it, could do it based off how much they contribute during war events I know someone who gives it to main whales so they can get all the best heros during TC and max them out right away

Most common I've seen are set amount for top ranking in pvp events and getting back what you donate through purchase.

For me we keep track on members points and actions during events, them cumulate the amount they will get every month (rankings based)

Then i know a friend who also puts a 75% cashback of every 1000 gold in events

For instance: they will screenshot everything start of event, then every time someone adds 1000 gold at the end they get 750

Of course giving back fully is also a choice, sometimes you just have to understand what your members truly want
