An alliance can attack a tower and if defeated that tower enters "burn" state? Can you extinguish the burn state and immediately rebuild the tower so the invaders wasted their effort?

It counts for a proportion of the points- not full- to upgrade the troops.
It's more speedup efficient (because the proportion of points per time is better), but not more time efficient.

When you have missions like island forces or call of duty to train troops, upgrading counts as a full troop though so that's the best place to upgrade.

In TC its better points to use the speeds in speedup phase to shrink down large training batches (from scratch for 100% points) then let them finish in next phase to collect for the points
