indeed and the ones who pay the big bucks also run things on the game as well and often try to direct alliances they are not apart of to not do certain things as well the best thou is when they team up with alliances in a game that's suppose to be alliance vs alliance :p I just do me and ignore all the political crap the game has. it is f2p but its a p2w mainly and the dev support those who support them. but this is also typical across all games of this nature. so just enjoy and push ahead and do your own thing!

best thing you can do for leveling up heros is save the stars until you get a decent amount and always use all six slots i find you get better % towards leveling up.

As far as alliance politics goes, it's so much better in a peaceful region and the only pvp is during events.

I just used over 100 gold stars and did not get a single "critical." I was counting on at least 3 or 4.

Then you devices, 400 every 2 weeks, gets 1.3; then every other week is the 180-240 hammer one on average. Then you got new mia, if unlocked already like some of us, 800 or so; then some of us with 5 star new gear, don't even want to talk about hones. Then tc, I have every hero in game awakened; that was like 600 in purchases bi-weekly just to have diamonds for wheel, doesn't count cost to win tc. Then ignore buying out t6 and maxing that in 3 months. You do ag, island; lately doing 80 to 100 days heals, not counting resources; that's like 300; - freebies, so 200 just to fight. Those went from 1 major a month and 2 ds, to 4 major money pits. Then castle skins, have everyone since I've been here, thosemusemto be 3.5k, they been down to 1300 area some lately, usually 1800 area, every 3 months average. Have you calculated the cost of 13 million troops? It's little over 25,000 usd; if you could just buy better packs. Then gear, it was 700 every 2 weeks as well; I stopped on it 2.5 months back. Today is best deal on gear, 60 pieces at the 5 start, best pack pricing that's been offered, they actually stopped it for a few cycles. Then we talk about squads skins, then the new gold for new devices. None of this competes with 2 islands and 2 ags coming though. Now if you join a few rallies or towers like 10 in an event, no it dont cost you much. If you farm, hit help, say your active, it don't cost much. Unfortunately someone needs 6 million might heroes or your trashed now. Only takes 1, but they can destroy towers, cities with half the losses. The power shift from 5 mill to 6 million might is just massive.

People forget history even here, they think they can max out, invest hard and be king. Usually 3 to 6 months later gone. Blue, first to have the red gear, they went to white, he quit few months later. Then white gear lead to armaments, then envy quit, you see pickle quit, Jessica, I've seen reports on, very weak armament. Now players like hansz with Achilles account has heroes with nearly all red, with all slots special attributes; so now we on to more devices, croc, and safeme, maybe even more heroes maxed. As long as someone maxes things out, company has a job to throw more out. Obvious they aren't paying IT guy to good, no new heroes worth a crap, or advanced that much, so now they will let people throw money at each other and burn off that money. Figure slotted gear or armament next, but something in next few months. They have handed out about every great hero, killing off mid level players. Watched 4 mega whales quit last 90 days, people can't realistically spend nearly 6 digits yearly for a video game. Need to find out if their last posting has merit, we all want away from the g1, g2 crap; 14 months 6 to 8 billion might alliances matched with 20 billion, company needs to quit being biased. Let the 16 to 20 billion go head to head. 5 AGs, not once where we paired with gold or jade, always the side alliance, that's always gone after first, at 1/3rd the might, and game calls that balanced.

Push z virus as much as possible, use alliance loaners each day to get a bit further.
Focus on 1 hero at a time to 60 as much as possible, especially if legendary. Liam and freya are 2 pretty good epic heroes for z virus and decent for rest of the early/mid game. Try to get your hands on any tc/roulette hero though.
Buy 70% discount books from mystery merchant (controversial opinion), hunt zombies often to level up assistants- use zombie hunter leaders with the bottom half of the zombie tree filled out. Martin and russel give an extra xp bonus.

F2p cant afford to save gems for Roulette, the best they can get from Roulette is like 15-25 frags per TC and thats considering if they're lucky,if not lucky they would just get 5 guarantee from chest reward and thats it

In TC if they save for like 2-3 months they're guarantee to reach top 5 in most of the regions, even top 3 on Ranged or Rider TC
They would get way more frags from TC than Roulette ever would

Not sure why you'd expect to meet anyone you can fight when your peers are mostly 5x your size.
If dhx fighting hnb is too hard for you, don't be in shx or hnb.
If little alliance with 4 t5s fighting dhx is too hard, it's definitely the matchmaking fault.

Did anyone notice that the BLAZING GIANT event is still going on for 1 more day but Finding Fire/Inferno ends in a couple of hours.. How are we suppose to get torches for BlAZING GIANT without Finding Fire/Inferno? It makes 0 sense to keep BLAIZING GIANT going no?

I think it's to give time to use the items. A lot of the get items to use events are like that.

Those types of events always go for one day longer. It’s to give time to use up the items earned/buy packs to get rank

i need more time to grind its hard to get 320 torches for the final 2 levels its ialmost impossible to grind that
