Armaments are a game feature unlocked once region hits a certain age (I believe its changing to 28d) and you hit hq24.
It's like equipment for heroes.
Then you can hone it to change the stats, one stat you can get is travel speed.

It's the only reliable way to increase travel speed. You can make it on talents and skills, then get some small boosts from backpack refinement in commander equipment, there are some p2w hq skins for a couple %, etc
