i went to take 1 of their villages with my new alliance (S_W has basically no players left)

their only p4 decided it was a good idea to send all his troops to try and save this 1 village

We are a 2,5 bil alliance with a handfull of t5 players but last 3 pompeiis we have been matched against 4,2 bil alliance who has between 1-3 t6 players and its just impossible because of it.. DS matchmacking was fine, got an opponent that looked weak at the first sight and we were super confident that we can confine them if we work hard, until it didn't work as planned because they have couples of advanced newer generation heroes that managed to perfectly stopped us from dominating them. by the time you've saved up enough speedups to do the big researches before t6 and t6 themselves, you will probably have grinded enough tokens and toolboxes to upgrade the two buildings to max

for the big three researches you get before t6, they cap at 8/10, until you unlock lvl 25 research centre. however if you need research centre, you will need maxed battle centre. 8->9 requires like 40-50 days after helps so for three of them you get approximately 135 days. and 9-10, taking around 90-100 days, approximately 285 days. 1 t6 troop type will be another 90-100 days, we will take 95 days here. 135+285+95 is >500 days

the longest i have saved up stuff as an f2p in a low-spending alliance is four months, resulting in 280 days of speedups

let's assume you need six and a half months to get all the speedups. if you do 20 hives per day you will get 50 tokens per day least. for 180 days you get 9000 tokens. let alone that you got other events like lethal outbreak and stuff which grants you some more.

at this point i might just spend my gems on vip

getting 2 fragments, in my case, is actually more beneficial than unlocking a naked t6 troop type

Your thinking is sound. It’s very likely you will have a particular troop focus and will run into a decision point later. 1. Expedite t6 for your troop focus (means spending gems or money on badges) or 2. max all troop research to 15 while giving time for bc to reach l25 by f2p methods.

#2 is where you’re headed but it means a lot of research and time for the troop types you’re not focusing.

Ya those are roulette heros. Might be worth it to transfer to an older region while its cheap and unlock them then transfer back. Really I just wanted Peterson as he is a valuable for a mild spender.
