Right now, there is an immigration event for specific regions only, New Immigration Decree. If your region is one of those participating, you can migrate to any participating regions, old or new, with 1 migration visa. You can get one from buying the premium pack Unobstructed access - 1$ (Mall) or you can get one as a reward from Dark Seal after achieving 1.2M kills.
If your region doesn't participate in the event, the old migration restrictions apply to you, plus that you can't migrate to any region that participates in the previously mentioned event.

Old migration restrictions:
If your account is less than 10 days old and below lv 8, you can migrate to any region you want ( 1 newcomer immigration order ).
After 10 days or above lv 8 , this order disappear and you are stuck in your region.
The only way then to migrate is to move to old regions, more than 90 days old. To do that, you need migration orders. You can buy them in alliance store with silver coins or from packs with real money.
The process of migrating is the same for both: zoom out as much as you can, click on the 🌎 button at your right bottom corner of your screen and choose the region you want to migrate. Then tap the random region button. You will see a list of requirements and how many orders you need.
Remember to keep your resources below warehouse protection level ( it's one of the requirements) as it seems its one the most common problems.

I don't think so, this game is completely pay to win and any f2p player will be MUCH weaker.

Also, you need to consider you will get in many wars in the early stages of the game and will need to defend yourself (forcing you to invest in troops over building or technology). Unless you get lucky and join the strongest alliance with hegemony over the server and win pretty much everything 😆
