There are 3 cooldowns in this one-time event.

Cooldown 1 - 12 hours. Every 12 hours from event start time, an Alliance can only attack 1 Overlord. Once an Overlord is attacked (whether successful or not), the next window to attack again or another Overlord is the next 12 hours window. In total, an alliance can attack up to 6 Overlords

Cooldown 2 - 1 hour to defeat. Upon an attack, the Overlord will start the 1 hour countdown. The alliance has that 1 hour to defeat the Overlord. Failing to do so, no rewards will be given, and the Alliance cannot attack again due to Cooldown 1.

Cooldown 3 - 8 hours. Once an Overlord is successfully defeated, it will start a 8 hour cooldown. Within the next 8 hours, the Overlord cannot be attacked again, even if Cooldown 1 opens it up for an Alliance to attack.

There are some rules you need to know:
a) 1 Alliance can only send 1 Rally to an Overlord. Multiple Alliances can send their respective 1 rally to the same Overlord.
b) The moment the Overlord stop receiving damage, it will regenerate HP very fast. Given that one rally may take 5 minutes to gather and add on the marching time, 1 alliance may find it difficult to take 1 overlord if they are not strong enough.
c) Individual players hit the Overlord without a Rally. This will help Point (b) from happening, as well as applying flank bonus and distribute the AOE damage away from the Rally. Due to the amount of damage by the Overlord, it is almost impossible to use individual troops to take down the Overlord without cheesing.
d) A player just need to do a small bit of a damage to an Overlord to earn the rewards (provided it is defeated)

Join another alliance that has access to the area you want. Relocate in that area. Leave that alliance and join yours again. Build the fort there, since you are in the area your troops can reach easily. After its finished everyone in your alliance can move there

If I have injured troops yet to be hospitalised or are healing in hospital, and the Recovery of Pompeii starts, will these troops be available for the event?

That's a good question...
Up until recently, you couldn't enter the event with injured troops, but they changed that due to ke I believe. But whether those injured troops are available, I haven't noticed

you have to recall all your troops anyway to enter pompeii

Silent is right. U will still be allowed to enter pompeii map with troops in hospital but they will not be available for deployment.

I also havent won 1 tc while here in 10 I don’t even think top 10 I use my relics so others may win and choose wisely so I can help the region grow. It’s a sacrifice but we all have our own views I like to share and help others as it will lead to me having stronger fighters next to me on the field

You don't have to heal them to use them

You just use them

If you got 700k troops home 300k in hosp you get 1m to use no healing needed
