So, best advice is to make sure biggest/strongest rally is full, have a couple of people not already in the rally, have full marches on standby, to join as soon as the rally drops 100k-ish, and all remaining troops from basically everyone, just parked in/around the village.

Both to handle the incoming extras, as well as possibly refill rally too.

This approach should work with basically most villages, lvl. 2 and after

I actually imagine, it might be due to the huge amount of regions currently getting access to it, due to how quickly they started opening up new regions, about a month back.

Region 69 is about one month old now, so 30-ish days.. I've seen all the way up to regions, I think, 110 or so at least, which means around 40 regions more, in just 30 days.

Their servers/limits were likely made with "old stress levels" in mind, and not adjusted to compensate for this massive surge in Pompeii participants.

Is at least my guesstimate.
But i do 100% agree with the suggestions about flooding CS in game, to fix this though

Just a stupid "mistake" by them.. rules are clear.. first 20 of each server can join if they meet the requirements.

Funny is if you send a Ticket they say they need 1-3 days to look into it 🤣 what a service

I believe the issue is, while there were fewer regions/servers, they set up a "max alliances", on each timeslot.

That's pretty standard in these kinda games.

And lets say when they only had, semi-random number, 50 servers (seems that around here, is where new server/region generation picked up mad speed).
Then with 50 servers, and 20 alliances on each, they had tops 1000 participating alliances, (likely more around 6-800 tops though).

So, still in guessing numbers, they might have set a limit at 250 signups for each timeslot. And with 6-800 alliances, never an issue..

Now, however, with up to at least region 70 having gotten access, it's just added already 400 more potential alliance signups, on the list.. and it seems IGG forgot to raise/improve their server capacity, for running this event, and it's still locked at 1000..

But, up to potentially 1400 signups, on a 1000 max participant list, won't be fun for the last in line, easy to figure.

So, in end-line, this should truth be told, be quite easy to fix for IGG, and I'd honestly be a bit surprised, if we see this issue twice, truth be told.

And as said before, it's just my guesstimate, I don't have any magical secret info, im just quite familiar with these games and their programming setup by now 🤗😘

Oh, you're absolutely right in, that what we got there, was a bit of a hip-shooting answer, and could have been better worked out, 100%.

And i think with regards to whether they add more time-slots entirely, or just more capacity on the current ones, is anyones guess currently..

The cheaper option would quite likely be to add more time-slots, as their servers have shown to be able to at least handle the peak pressure from the current timeslots, so just making more, and different "peak pressure periods', shouldn't be an issue.

If they wanna increase their load capacity on the existing slots, then they might indeed have to go spending, and pay for boosting their server hosting capacity/power, potentially.

So, guessing out my azz, I'd maybe wager a careful guess, that we'll see probably a 5th and 6th time slot added, one for each of saturday and sunday.

If guessing very wildly, I'd probably even put it within an hour or two, of the already existing timeslots at noon 😆

This is all speculation though, especially last bit!

With regards to the Pompeii issue. The failure is the devs fault and has a stunting outcome on alliances affected. My alliance is is a top 50 alliance for the season league and missing Pompeii will most likely hinder our position there. The value of the rewards we lose is huge and I expect the compensation be some 10k rss packs.
