Get your eco research speed to max and keep upgrading alliance building. i got to 32 days for my t5 all from that

43 days for 109% research speed and 32 days after max alliance help. just saying this game isn't the worse

Not sure about this. Mixed troops armies seem to die fairly evenly regardless of opponent, so if you stick to skill and garrison on Louis the enemy should have no advantage

Buffing your infantry with Tom to do more damage makes sense though, I understand that. If infantry tree is better than skill tree is debatable though
