I'll guess it is. That is for making in-game purchases with Google Play. It isn't necessary. Linking the account to a gmail is for logging in purposes.

In game, players can link 3 things through Hero icon -> Account : Google, IGG, facebook. Plus discord through the Event Center. DLS linked to discord too.
I've already linked DLS with IGG through Gmail, which is also a Google account, so hence my question above.

Oh, why are there those three options. So you can do a gmail and a different email for IGG, or just do a gmail, or do just an IGG if you don't use gmail. They're just options--you don't need to do them all.

And the discord linking is not related to signing in. It is just for getting some rewards in game from discord stuff, such as the thursday couple-of-exp-books thing.

One of the most irritating bugs is when one gets kicked out of the game during a fight, contacting live chat for help or an explanation, getting told to do troubleshooting, following through on that which includes deleting the game, and then experiencing the same bug, even though things are perfectly fine on my end.

I would really like to see Z-virus Adventure expanded. It was quite fun and challenging when I first started playing. Now I would like to see it expanded further with more challenges so we can use all the new heroes introduced in the past year. This game is getting rather boring as is and all the new elements introduced lately are just money grabs. Please expand further on Z-Virus Adventure. It was quite fun.
