The problem for me was that the time required to be online was set, as I've said before, it depends on your timezone, but for me I was either at work or asleep for 2 of the three times I was needed to support my alliance. Other events I feel you can be online when you can because other than reset the time is not set. Om sure other time zones found the timings more suitable but for me they didn't work. I feel my might was just a hindrance to my colleagues because I couldn't contribute enough. Reset is hard enough for me in the summer time, but an hour after reset too just made it too late for me.

This is totally understandable. Maybe more times would help you?
I found that having set times for battle, then being able to check out of the game completely without fear of losing everything was a refreshing change. But even though one of the times was very inconvenient for me, my schedule is flexible enough i could make it work most of the days.
I know not everyone has that luxury.

My hope is that moving forward, they add more time slots just so more people can feel they have a chance to contribute. And then when we know the schedules ahead of time, you know if you can't make it at all that week, you skip it, just like pompeii. The rewards honestly aren't much better than pompeii, especially considering the bigger commitment and the bigger losses.

I don't know if different alliances could specify times and match them accordingly might work better, but as you say it's a big commitment for very little really, especially if you can only join for one third of the battles!!!

Yes, dark seal was really good, just sometimes was boring but had so good rewards you just go out and kill some enemies, get top 50 and enjoy the superb frags, now in GW they are way more difficult to get

Dark Seal had 20 crates each for rank 1. It was 3 regions. Most of the time 2-3 Alliances. Estimated 3x 150 = 450 players per region (Very generous calculation btw). 1350 players in Dark Seal that competed. Rank 1 got 40 boxes total. Down to rank 30 got special crates. Rank 100 even got choosing crates for ordinary legendary.
Dark Seal had 85% Return rate. Genesis-war has only 80%. Dark Seal was only 3 days. Genesis war is 5 days.
Dark Seal had special teleporter so you don't have to use 100 normal ones all the time. Genesis war sets you back forcefully each day, forcing you to waste even more Teleporters.
Remind me again, why does every event continuously get worse and worse and we get less and less?

At 100m you get like only 10% of the points as you normally would from kills

It's just hard taking certain feedbacks sometimes, because mostly the people who complain are talking, not the ones who are happy with it.
For example the Timed battles.

So many eu people are happy about them because they can finally be online reliably to a fight, before the reset time was the start and its middle of night and when towers connect we were at work.
But people come here to complain usually didnt have the times this bad and are annoyed because they cant participate properly.

Its same as TC with fight points.
A lot of people complained that bigger players always get rewards so they want killing be gone from TC.
Now those bigger players complain because they get outranked by weaker players. Saying those don't need the heroes as much as they do etc.

No matter what change. Someone will be unhappy.

If we do what the current complainers ask and add killing back. Even if we adjust it to only be slightly better, then the same people complaining before will come.

Not easy to fix.

For me the victim points must return but just leave us the choice to participate or not in the rankings just an option "take into account the war points at the TC". Perhaps a solution to let the "small/medium" players play the TCs without the big ones holding back in events.. 😅

I think the system of needing so many just to unlock any benefit whatsoever is the issue.
You need to dedicate so much time, and gems (probably all of your gems for most of a year or year) just to open 1 device and get any benefits.
With armaments and equipment and heroes you get a small bonus every step you take. You get incrementally stronger as you grow working to your goal.
This system is flawed. The grind is already there on the metal to upgrade them. That should have been the component that limits people. Not blueprints
