Hello, I'm a fan living in Japan. Thanks to Google, I can comment.

After clearing the game about 5 times, I summarized the points that I thought were not friendly to beginners or unnecessary.

・gold coin room
We are playing to beat and clear the final boss.
Is there anyone who enters the room of gold coins that are useless on the spot? You're just wasting one choice.

・sickle selection
Since there are not many types of sickles, many people will choose the one they like every time. But doing so eliminates the need for another sickle.
It would be better if there were more options for equipment and curses, but I think the scythe could be random.

・Be kinder every time you play
If you play several times, the number of initial contracts will increase and the number of Anima will increase.
But beginners want it now! I know it's going to be difficult as you get used to it, but I don't know if you'll be kind later on. Weapons and curses should be more varied, but shouldn't friendly gameplay be there from the start? Players who are not good at action will quit before they are kind.

・Undeserved Curse
The first blue curse can sometimes give you a smithing discount, but it's useless on the spot and the first time you see it, it really doesn't make sense.

Rogue-likes have the pleasure of gradually becoming stronger, but it would be a problem if you were presented with something you couldn't use.
Curses that are not suitable for each level or curses that have too little influence should be reviewed.
And let's aim for more diverse goals. (I mean, uh, you better beat the final boss with a hammer too)

・The later the boss's job title and duties are unclear
I didn't know what kind of person the final boss was, what he was doing, what was wrong with him... and why he was able to go on vacation. did you all get it? Will more bosses be added in the future? I'm looking forward

The vault:
You don’t have to take the room every time. The gold is meant for buying new stuff when you die anyways.

The scythes:
While I understand your point you made about choosing them, the way you worded it made it sound like you want all scythes to be equal, which defeats the point of them being different in the first place.
The scythes are all different so they can fit different people’s playstyles, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

The “kindness” of the game:
There’s a self-fulfillment (easy mode) that becomes available once you die for the first time. Just go to the wall that says “Imminent Breakdown” on it and press left. The only problem with it is that the game doesn’t tell you this.

The “undeserved” curse:
The control room discount is not useless. It will be very useful when you can actually reach a control room. The only reason it comes in at the beginning is because it’s a rank 1.

Your last point about the “boss”:
You just lost me on whether or not you were talking about Death or the final sorrow in the game. But yes, there will be more bosses added in the future, this is an early access game.

I agree with the vault/gold room because the reward is so poor that the only way you should pick this room is because there's nothing better else to pick.

The vault:
You don’t have to take the room every time. The gold is meant for buying new stuff when you die anyways.

I understand how to use it and what it means. However, the reason for choosing this room is that it is completely unnecessary to clear the game, and only one option is lost.
Of course, it may be used by people who want to unlock items quickly, but it quickly loses its meaning.

The “undeserved” curse:
The control room discount is not useless. It will be very useful when you can actually reach a control room. The only reason it comes in at the beginning is because it’s a rank 1.

I wouldn't say it's meaningless, but is it really worthy of Rank 1? about it.
Not only is it useless on the fly, but the lack of change in gameplay is boring.

I think a vault should contain gold and at least a little bit of something else

#

Like a smol anima or a few soulary

#

So it's an investment room for later, sure, but it gives something so it makes you at least think that it doesn't feel as bad

#

Comparable to the gem rooms in Hades
They do not do anything for your run, but later on you can get a permanent upgrade where gem rooms also give a tiny bit of gold

I get your point, but as i already said i think that the problem lies on the amount at the end

#

because the vault gives you 20 gold as a reward

#

and if you kill like four buffghosts on world 1

#

You literally get the same reward at the end
