#Supernova Thread
1 messages ยท Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Despite having the supernova extension installed onto chrome on my mac games still wonโt run
That extension is useless. Also, if you are on Mac then superNova is unusable.
since not all games are playable with Ruffle yet, you will have to use Flash. I will tell you how later.
ok i tried supernova on windows, with the extension and the actual application
i was able to get the game to run but the game is bugged runningn on the emulator
i'm trying to play run 3
and using the supernova emulator
none of the crumble tiles show up
Hmm... indeed. Weird.
I could play the html version of run 3 but itโs missing content that the kongregate version has
Which is why i wanna play the flash version
Yeah, writing omething, jut wait a bit.
Then, it seems that only Flash will make the game run as designed. If you are willing to bother installing it, then follow the steps below.
1)
Install a browser supporting Flash. I recommend Pale Moon (Windows and Linux) or White star (Pale Moon for Mac).
2) (Windows and Mac only, I think)
If Flash is already installed on your computer and if the version number is strictly higher than 32.0.0.371, then uninstall it.
3)
Download the following zipped files and unzip them: https://archive.org/download/flashplayerarchive/pub/flashplayer/installers/archive/fp_32.0.0.371_archive.zip
Then, open the correct installer for your system: flashplayer32_0r0_371_win.exe (Windows), flashplayer32_0r0_371_mac.dmg (Mac), flashplayer32_0r0_371_linux.i386.tar.gz (32-bit Linux) or flashplayer32_0r0_371_linux.x86_64.tar.gz (64-bit Linux).
IMPORTANT: If asked at the end of the installation, disable the automatic updates!
Now, you can play Flash games again, but you will need something else to have games embedded with Flash again on Kongregate (and properly).
4) Install a user script manager (browser extension): either Tampermonkey, Greasemonkey or Violent monkey depending on your browser.
For Pale Moon or White star (only!), you can directly open the following link (in those browsers!): https://github.com/janekptacijarabaci/greasemonkey/releases/download/3.31.4Fork/greasemonkey-3.31.4-pm_forkBranch.xpi
5)
Install the following user script (from me): https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/438325-kongregate-flash-games-fixer
Here you go, you can play Flash games on Kongregate with Flash (and high scores) again, and can even switch to superNova or Ruffle whenever you want.
Ouch, it was a long one...
I hope it will help you.
thanks!
having a weird problem trying to run games with supernova, no matter what flash game i go to the game window on the kongregate page flashes white then back to black very quickly instead of displaying the supernova play button
^^^ditto^^^
which games?
renegade racing, wondrous lands, the everloom, william and sly 1&2, learn to fly idle - are all games (checked my history) i loaded up and played yesterday, but i'm not getting the nova prompt screen for today.
I'm letting our team know now
@sweet island this channel might be better able to help you
Game refuses to load. Any ideas what might cause it?
Yes, someone at Kongregate seems to have done a pretty big mistake: they replaced the code related to superNova with a part of the code related to Ruffle (only a part, which is why you do not even see a "Ruffle" loading screen). Well, I guess they were tired...
So theres nothing I can do about it?
(Also, is Supernova just dead then? or is it coming back?)
Bit of a small hiccup on our end. Fixed now!
Yep. Works again! Thanks!
I've been experiencing a black screen like this on every game on Kong for months now. I keep coming back and grabbing BotD points for games I've already completed and hoping to see a game actually load up again.
Been using Supernova but I don't even get the Supernova prompt any more.
On every games or only on every Flash games?
Have you tried toggling on and off the cinematic mode?
If only Flash games are affected, which browser(s) are you using?
grey screen on all games any way to fix?
Everything works fine, here. When something like this happens to me, the first thing I try is activating and deactivating the cinematic mode. Any result?
- Every game, flash or not
- Clicking on Cinematic Mode has no effect. My cursor changes to the swirly blue "processing" icon when I hover over it but it otherwise does nothing when clicked on.
- N/A but I'm using Chrome.
Hey, I figured it out! I had an extension (Flash Player Emulator) which appears to have been interfering, despite the game not being a flash game!
Ah, okay. Yeah, I had forgotten the extensions... One of the first things to check, haha.
been trying to install supernova but it just gets to halfway thru and the installer shuts down, and idk waht exactly to do abt that
reached my limit and found myself here
What do you mean by "shuts down"? That it closes?
I am not sure if there is any kind of confirmation message, maybe it was successfully installed. What happens if you try to open, for example, supernova://play/?swfurl=http://chat.kongregate.com/gamez/0000/9305/live/scgmd3NA.swf?kongregate_game_version=1208519054? (Paste this in your address bar.)
If it fails, try to install the player from http://web.archive.org/web/20210426173012id_/https://cdn.getsupernova.com/update/SuperNovaSetup0.1.23.exe
Idek what that is
Iike it says downloading updates, bar is halfway green then the thing stops and closes and I have to retry but it gets slower each time
I'll try that in a bit tho
Ah... I see. And it keeps doing that whenever you try to open a game?
No
When I'm installer supernova
Installing
I asked my brother he said he didn't come across any problems when downloading it
I tried going on the supernova website to contact them abt this issue but I couldn't find a way to them
Am I asking in the wrong thread
No no, this is the correct one.
Try the links above (the first one should open a game if the player is installed, and the second one is an archived direct download link to the latest version).
Ok
Oh, dumb uestion I forgot to ask: you are playing on Windows, aren't you?
Ya
Okay, good.
๐ค
it worked thank you ๐ญ โค๏ธ
Was it already installed? Or did you have to use the other installer?
i installed from the link u gave and it worked
looks like i was working with an old version
Okay, then this means that there may be problems with their website. The problem with their "main" installer is that, instead of installing the software, it searches for the latest available installer on their website. As a result, problems with the website or missing files make that installer useless.
To those of you who may have problems installing the superNova player in the upcoming days, try the following installer instead: http://web.archive.org/web/20210426173012id_/https://cdn.getsupernova.com/update/SuperNovaSetup0.1.23.exe
I installed Ruffle recently and when I went to the MAD2 thing (on Kongregate ofc), the screen just stays black
I'm not sure what to do
By installing Ruffle, do you mean installing the browser extension? It does not interact very well with Kongregate, and can prevent every games to load on the site (even non-Flash ones...). Note that it is not needed if Kongregate made a game load through Ruffle instead of superNova.
Also, what is "the MAD2 thing"? I cannot find anything named "MAD2".
Mutilate a doll 2
I installed Ruffle while using google but it got added to my files and not in the extensions
I tried again and the screen that you would use to play the game at the top, it said "Your game will start after this message" and then it flashed white and back to black
Okay so I downloaded it on google in extensions and this time, it flashed blue white and gray all in one (it was like a glitchy flash) but it went back to black again
Okay.
First, deactivate the Ruffle extension (at least on Kongregate). The first thing you installed is probably the desktop version and should have no impact on browsers, however.
Then, Mutilate-a-doll 2 is supposed to load with superNova so the uestion is: "Is your browser compatible with it? " What browser do you use? (If it is Chrome, Edge or Firefox then I can already say that the problem does not come from here).
Another thing to ask is: What are your extensions?
Currently, all I have is an adblocker and Ruffle
Also I am using chrome
So should I use another browser and get supernova?
Hmm... Even disabling the Ruffle extension does not fix the issue?
Have you tried toggling on and off the cinematic mode (sometimes it replaces games with a black screen for some reason, activating and deactivating it usually fixes the issue).
Thing is, if you keep getting a black screen, even the superNova player will be unusable.
You are supposed to see either https://prnt.sc/BANsXzMHMzGZ or https://prnt.sc/rjq8IRGu09_S
Hmm, supernova player doesnt seem to launch whenever i try to play anything in kong
i clicked that and
nothing happened
I tried turning off all my adblocks to no avail
How long did you wait? Also, are you playing on Windows?
I can't go into cinematic mode
It keeps saying my username is unfound or something like that, even though I just made an account for it
"Username CollectorOfH2O not found"
And when I use my email, it also doesn't work
....
It keeps getting weirder.
Have you tried logging out and logging back in yet?
What happens if you also disable your ad blocker? And any other extension you may have.
Now that I think about it: what are your plugins?
does chrome block pop ups?
My adblocker does
Plugins?
I'll also try the suggestions
the exact same thing happened 4 times, a flash and then black screen
doesn't supernova launch in a new window and thus pop ups shouldn't be blocked for that page?
I'm not using supernova
It does not launches in a new browser window, but a all different... hmm... software?
Yes, a part of your problem's description lets me think that it is caused by something trying to convert Flash content into something (and this happens because cinematic mode is probably linked to some old Flash content, but not the game). Usually, these "converters" are extensions (like the Ruffle one), but there is also the Lightspark plugin (not made by Adobe, but supposed to replace Flash once finished). This plugin, however, is not finished so some interactions could be impossible (even though I have not tested it). There may be other plugins I am not aware of.
If you have never tried to install a plugin replacing Flash, then forget this. However, then, I do not know how to solve your issue... except maybe using another browser?
Alright thank you for all your time
You are welcome.
Just yesterday, i successfully played several games with Supernova. But today, those same games load up Ruffle - along with a notice that Ruffle cannot run these games. (Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but) Yesterday, i allowed third party cookies - which seemed to be the thing that finally allowed me to try STUG. But now i can no longer play those supernova games.
Can i force games to give me the Supernova option?
Yes, you can do so by using the user script I wrote: https://www.kongregate.com/forums/1-kongregate/topics/1954038-usermade-solution-to-the-flash-games-situation
Wow! Thanks! I could actually finish a game i started two days ago that Kong made unplayable for some reason.
I used the user script and it works beautifully except the game won't run, I'm playing Learn To Fly 3 and it just shows the title and plays the music but I can't select anything except mute and settings. Why is this happening? Mind you, it was working just fine before but now it's bugging out.
Weird. When did it break? With Kongregate's update yesterday/today? If so, try updating the script (I published a new version an hour ago), the update slightly impacted my script.
I have tested myself and Learn To Fly 3 works normally.
@celest pendant I wanted to let you know but I had to wait for the official announcement. We elected to remove Supernova from the site and fully support Ruffle. https://kon.gg/3X2iBvO more details here
2023 is already shaping up to be a wild year of fun new features for Kongregate, and weโre so excited to be sharing our first set of updates with you!
ย
First and foremost, Kongregate.com has a new...
I saw that.
Well, that explains that. It's weird though, that every game i've tried to play - which used to work fine with supernova - and still works fine with Matris4348's script - completely fails to work with Ruffle.
I wonder why it was removed now, as a lot of games cannot run in Ruffle yet.
Unless it is to draw more attention toward Ruffle from users? To try to get them to support Ruffle in some way?
Ruffle still doesn't support the whole library unfortunately, but more and more services were flagging Supernova as malware
Also, Ruffle is getting updates out where as Supernova has been quiet for awhile now.
Yeah, I just wish progress was faster.
I couldn't ask ahead of time, but I am curious: will this be a good thing or a bad thing for your script and accessing Kongai?
Only a small problem with my script, that I managed to fix.
Wonderful! I was worried
As for Kongai, it cannot load in superNova anyway.
Whatever they did, ruined some of the games that used to work with supernova. Ran across a few now that played a few days ago, but now won't run past the play button or the first level. Whatever they did has not made any game that didn't run before run now, so far as i've found but it certainly killed several.
Hi, I just tried to play games which worked several days ago with SuperNova (Dps idle, shattered colony) and now suddenly, it doesn't with Ruffle, is there any way to access those with SuperNova from your website ? (apparently, lot of others website use Ruffle only and of course, it doesn't work ๐ข - I will try Y8 maybe) Thanks.
@kindred orbit Scroll up to Matrix4348's answer to my identical question. #1029083309050970192 message
His solution worked for several games by allowing access to playing through supernova. But there are still several games that worked a few days ago that won't even play with supernova anymore (of the few i ran across - the Zombotron's and several others don't progress past hitting the in-game play button; flight won't play past one's first throw or load up saved games; enchanted cave 2 hangs up upon levelling the character, and so on. Yet all these played perfectly fine before Kong dumped supernova). Turns out i had an old version and they seem to be working fine now.
CISA labeled Supernova as a Malware during an incident response, I'm uninstalling it right now and hope Ruffle catches up soon. I just found out.
Ruffle seems ages ago from supporting Action Script 3, a technology launched by 2006.
Wait, are you saying that some games no longer work when using my script? If so, can you check that you have the latest version? After the Kongregate update , I had to fix a small issue.
I downloaded it after reading your first response, but couldn't really figure out how to see what version i had. So went back to that page and did the reinstall. Checked a couple of those i mentioned - and they seem to be working fine now! So i probably did have the older version. Thanks.
So you (Kongregate) had a player that allowed people to play most of your old games but you decided to remove support for it? If a casual player wants to play something online, one needs to install extra software and script just because you AGAIN switched to this Ruffle that simply doesn't work. Maybe it will work some day (or year) in the future. In the mean while most people who used to frequent your site will simply utter some well-deserved profanity aimed at your decision-making people and move on. If I happen to come across some advertiser who uses Kong, I'll be sure to mention how crappy your site is now and by association, how crappy they seem by using it.
Adrian said they removed it because more and more services were flagging it as a malware. Because the developpers seem to have completely stopped working on it, this is not going to be fixed. I guess recommanding a software that gets more and more often considered as a malware is not a good thing for a website...
Apparently loading a non-functioning software like Ruffle is better? Kong has been dying for years, now it can be declared totally braindead.
To companies, it must be.
Thanks @celest pendant . I was most of the way through Kingdom Rush when it would no longer play. Now to get the last two stars. ๐
Ruffle is working fine for me
hi im trying to play run 3 and i've had supernova installed for a couple months and its worked so far. but this week when i go to open the game its now saying that the ruffle emulator does not support actionscript 3 instead of showing me the supernova prompt. how do i work around ruffle in order to play the game? it did this last week and then it was normal again for a few days, but the problem is back. again. thanks for your help
im using firefox browser in windows btw
thank you sm ๐
You are welcome.
Last august, the first few AS3 games started working on Ruffle. Not every game, not on every version. That means that Ruffle is moving and I have to best guess that Kongregate's putting some faith in it.
Back then, the support was 10% language and 5% API. Right now, those numbers grew up to 60% language and 25% API.
Current compatibility situation can be seen here: https://ruffle.rs/#compatibility
So, I stand corrected on my earlier comments about Ruffle speed on catching up to AS3.
Sure, Ruffle loads fine, it just doesn't make the flash games work. Blank screen, black screen, sometimes the starting screen and nothing works...So it's like the engine starts fine, it just doesn't make the car move.
Same problem & I use FireFox as well
can't get a session for Kongregate ? When I do a check to see if it is down I get that it is UP & Running??
I will try again tomorrow.
Almost a month since I last checked and Numbers on AS3 are still the same for Ruffle. Still they get contributions.
Are you talking about the progress bars? They do not update them often. Actually, they do it very rarely.
Last time they did, something jumped from 5% to 60% or something like this...
Supernova worked on my favourite games, now I'm forced to use Ruffle which doesn't work on anything. WHY!?
Because superNova is being flagged as a malware by more and more services (even though it is safe!) and their developers stopped updating it so it is not going to be fixed.
However, you can still use it by using my user script: https://www.kongregate.com/forums/1-kongregate/topics/1954038-usermade-solution-to-the-flash-games-situation
Note: You may have already been using it and suddenly saw it broken. This was due to a bug that I did not expect, that arose today and that I just fixed and you can update manually to version 5.5 by going to https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/438325-kongregate-flash-games-fixer
(To anyone using my script: you should update it as soon as possible. Link right above.)
That worked, thank you very much!
You are welcome!
hi i used this and it sort of worked but im getting a message saying run 3 isnt compatible with supernova 1.0 is there something i can do to fix it
Hey Matrix, just wanted to thank you, this fixed everything for me. I can finally get that nostalgia rush again
sigh... The universe is bullying me.
I fear that there is nothing that any of us can do. For some reasons, the superNova player sometimes needs to communicate with the Internet when playing certain games to get them to work normally. It may be related to their "additional security features".
However, getsupernova.com and every other associated websites/web pages are currently down. As a result, Run 3 is getting this message (first time I either see it, by the way) and other games are broken. There are games that still work, though.
I cannot do anything about it and, actually, I am not even sure that the situation will be resolved, given that the developers have stopped updating their product. Not all hope is lost, though!
You are welcome! Glad to have helped you!
that is ok my thoughts and prayers r with u man ๐๐๐ thank you sm either way
stay strong out ther
I was wrong: their website is back and their player can be used again.
Tangerine Tycoon turn white and original fast epilepcy warning (it use ruffle but anciently supernova) it was working great
Hello, Admin! I doesnt work press Play with SuperNova.
Try this
I did. Now i doesnt work press play ! @celest pendant
I will check in a moment, but the first thing I would recommend is checking that the superNova player is still installed.
Paste the following line in your browser's address bar, press enter and tell me if it opens anything:
supernova://play/?swfurl=http://chat.kongregate.com/gamez/0015/5597/live/submachine_8_k.swf?kongregate_game_version=1415998138
(This is another game, but it will be enough to check weither or not the player is still installed.)
Yes, open.
I did open. And now i doesnt work.
Okay.
It works on my end: https://prnt.sc/6hcLe668RwrN
so, there must me a problem on your end. What browser are you using?
Google Chrome.
Operating system ? I don't know that...
Windows, Mac, Linux, ...
Oh, Windows
You may need to try to reinstall the superNova player. Before this, I would like to check something. Could you open your task manager and see if you have something like "snplayer" running?
Or rather, "snlauncher.exe"
Like this: https://prnt.sc/ZjCgkWqkb66y
This, or anything with the superNova icon.
No
Nothing appears?
Nothing.
Okay. Then, try to reinstall the player. Let me find the link...
Let us see if reinstalling fixes the problem.
I did download.
I working play supernova
Thanks you so much.
๐
Hey, I asking ruffle flash is woriking, no ?
Ah, so that was indeed the cause. something was probably deleted or corrupted. You are welcome!
Hmm... Maybe not with this game yet.
Let me try.
Unfortunately it does not load in Ruffle yet.
Do you have the superNova player installed? If you do not, click on ... the thing that is on the bottom-right portion of that frame (scroll down). This will bring the option to install it.
Ah, okay.
it was hard to tell, it gave a 501 or something instead of saying it was blocked
When you went to the download page?
or any page on getsupernova.com
Ah no, nevermind.
Wait, yes. When was it a problem?
When downloading the player?
no
just visiting the webpage
I tried to download it from web.archive.org, but it gave me a folder with only the launcher and nothing else
You can't resize supernova player?
Yes, you need to use a specific link on archive.org, as the basic installer... download something from the website. Wait a second, I will find the link.
thanks, but I already installed supernova, so I don't need it yet
Oh, okay.
is there a way to resize the window though?
Also, no, you cannot resize it.
It is a shame that its developers stopped caring about it.
true, it's the best performing one I've been able to use that isn't restricted to small selection of games
Oh well, one day Ruffle will be finished and able to run everything properly.
Yes, indeed. The performance come mainly from the fact that it is a separate window, instead of a browser window.
For superNova.
Yes, Ruffle can be really slow... due to the technologies it uses, probably.
Aaaw, sigh... I need to find the link to the solution...
Wait a moment, it is somewhere on this server.
There is a link to a thread on the Kongregate forum.
...
Wait a moment, I need to find the archived version. -_-
Found it: http://web.archive.org/web/20230903185441/https://www.kongregate.com/forums/7-technical-support/topics/1873379-supernova-player?page=12
Unfortunately, there is a link there that is automatically converted by the wayback machine and it may not work... or may work. GAAAAH
Kongregate SuperNova Player, post your thoughts on the discussion board or read fellow gamers' opinions (page 12).
Give me a few minutes, I will compile everything in a message here.
How to get rid of the local storage popup in the superNova player
- Use your File Explorer to find
%AppData%\Macromedia\Flash Player\macromedia.com\support\flashplayer\sys\#chat.kongregate.com\settings.solor maybe%AppData%\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\macromedia.com\support\flashplayer\sys\#chat.kongregate.com\settings.sol - Upload the file to https://www.saveeditonline.com/ and change the klimit value to 5000 (or higher)
- Download the edited file and overwrite the original
Note: These steps were taken from this post (from someone else); I only reposted them (since the forums were archived, mainly) and corrected a small error.
...
Oh well, I typed it for the future, at least...
@trim fiber can we get Matrixโs write up pinned?
hi, is there a way to play canyon defence 2?
Sorry this took over a month
I'm not sure how I missed this ping
No worries
Hi. Been playing Kong for a while post-flash-death so I'm not new here, but I haven't the time to read through 1000 posts in this tread so I'll just lay out my situation.
Things were working for me as of a week ago. Some games happened to play via Ruffle, other games happened to play via Supernova. But I just bought a new computer (Windows 10 desktop, same as my old computer). I play in Chrome, and using google account I was able to sync all my bookmarks, logins, & most extensions to the new computer automatically, but apparently not supernova. (I also have my flash game saves backed up, but I want to first make sure I can open the games before I restore those).
Towards the top of this this thread I saw a link to download SuperNovaSetup0.1.23 . exe so I got that & ran it, which led to Chrome asking me to enable the extension to which I said yes. I then reopened my favorite Kong game (Colorshif), but nothing new happened.
It just looks like this:
To be clear, back when things were working with Supernova, that orange play button never appeared. It was just a solid black game screen, then after a moment the game would pop up in a new, smaller window
Also, when I try clicking on the play button, it gives this error message:
It looks like the script is not enabled.
- Did you install Tampermonkey?
- Is it enabled?
- Did you install my script?
- ...Is it enabled?
I have tampermonkey. It was automatically installed by syncing chrome with my google account. I have no idea about the script tho. How do I check what scripts are enabled within Tampermonkey?
this is what it looks like
Click the extension icon and click what I circled in red, whatever it is named in english. This should open the full list of installed user scripts and display which are enabled and which are not.
"no scripts installed"
link me to your script & instructions on how to install it, and I'll do that again
Oh, oups. I thought I had already done so haha.
since you have already installed the rest, just go to this page and click "install this script".
w00t works now! thanks muchly. hope your day is great.
Haha, you are welcome!
what is this error and how do i fix it?
I do not know why it happens. I saw it occur for a few games. sometimes, "play anyway" solves the issue but not always.
Hmm... This is not new for this game, right?
nope it happens ever time i try to play
Hi! New here - wanting to play sacred seasons and other older flash games but cant seem to figure out how - I have ruffle ( cant figure it out lol) and supernova addons added to chrome but still no luck! Please help a newb lol
@celest pendant I followed what the user above was doing - still getting the message from kong saying it is using flash - is it because I am in incognito mode?
You do not need to install Ruffle because Kongregate has it directly on the page for you. As for the superNova browser extension, it is useless.
If the games you are trying to play are not playable using Ruffle yet, then you might want to use my user script and play with either Flash or superNova. The next uestion is: how many steps would you bother to follow?
Also, what message are you referring to? The banner above (or below, now, right?) the game?
Important question: Can Kong badges be earned by playing a game via SuperNova?
Context:
I re-started Decision: Medieval last year via SuperNova (maybe I could have & should have used Ruffle instead but didn't know it at the time). I'm very far into the game but my progress towards badges doesn't seem to be registering in the achievements tab of the game page.
I already earned the easy badge in 2016; the medium badge (capture 5 towers) says I have 1 of 5 captured, and the hard badge (100% completion) says I'm only at 10%. I believe these are the levels of progress I got to prior to when Flash was discontinued. But in my current playthrough, in the in-game Achievements screen it says I've captured 4 towers, and it says my total game progress is 37%. I've checked the Badge progress on the Kong game screen every time I've played in the past ~half-year, and the numbers have never budged.
No. High scores will never be submitted by superNova. Right now, only Flash can do so. Ruffle might, at some point in the future. Might.
then how are we earning badges now? Is Flash back?
Most people will report missing achievements to Kongregate. However, it is still possible to use Flash. All you need to do is installing a few things.
If you want to bother with this, here are the steps:
- Install Pale Moon, a browser that still supports Flash.
- (Windows and Mac only) If Flash is already installed on your computer and if the version number is strictly higher than 32.0.0.371, then uninstall it.
- Download these zipped files and unzip them.
- Install the Greasemonkey browser extension, a user script manager. You can do so directly by opening this page from within Pale Moon.
- Install the Kongregate Flash games fixer, a user script that I wrote.
Unfortunately, the site is a bit broken on Pale Moon due to Kongregate's latest updates, but Flash games still work.
Allow me to clarify. I AM EARNING BADGES on games, just not games that are being played through Supernova. And thats while using Chrome.
You are earning badges on non-Flash games, yes, of course...
"non-flash games"... you saying the games ive earned badges on in recent months were html5 games?
Yes.
just out of curiosity, how does one tell at a glance whether a game is flash or html5?
At the moment, there is a "Flash end of life" (or something like that) banner below Flash games (which should actually be above them, but let us not bother with their computer skills...).
Hello I'm back and something has come up that makes this past comment of yours worth discussing.
I play Kong games in Chrome, and I have an extension installed called Tampermonkey. I believe it allows me to play games with Ruffle. I vaguely recall, in some recent year, someone instructing me to install a userscript in Tampermonkey to make it all work. It sounds like Tampermokey & Greasemonkey (the one you suggested) are two different extensions that do the same thing.
Well when I opened Chrome today, a tab automatically popped up showing this:
I don't understand exactly what it means, but I'm worried that I means I won't be able to use Tampermonkey at all for much longer. Do you know if that's the case? Does Greasemonkey work in Chrome, and if so shoudl I uninstall Tampermonkey & insteall Greasemonkey in its place? (I do NOT want to install a whole new browser just for playing flash games on.)
