Hello, sorry for my broken English, I'm French.
I'm having a problem and I can't progress in the game.
As soon as I receive a video to check, I click on the icon, a window opens and I lose the mouse cursor and the video remains in "Loading" mode.
I can't do anything else. I have to quit the game.
I checked the integrity of the files on Steam: nothing.
I uninstalled the game, reinstalled it, and I still have the bug.
I have my NVIDIA drivers up to date and Windows 11 24/24 as well.
Can you tell me what I can do to fix this problem, please?

Je sais pas encore. Il y a un autre joueur qui a eu un souci similaire et le fix n’as pas résolu son problème. J’ai juste changé les codecs des vidéos.

Je n'ai pas trop le temps de jouer ces temps mais entre ce soir et ce week-end j'aurai + de temps pour valider vraiment que ça a bien corrigé à 100% mon cas. Comme je te disais par MP, il est clair qu'avant ton intervention, je ne pouvais pas jouer et là oui. C'est déjà me concernant un point ultra positif

having same issue. also game just stops working after the going home after the first hal hacking incident. starting to see why it was free on steam.

This issue only happen to very few players, and is not reproductible on my side.
It’s a windows issue, and and I never found a proper workaround for that. Next week I am going to try a new update, but the video are a tricky subject.
Can you please send me the logs so I can investigate?
Also, what hardware are you playing the game with?

I have the same problem, sometimes the video from the cameras plays and sometimes it freezes on the 'Media discovery' message and I can't continue and I can't close the video.

I'd like to report the same issue at the beginning of the game. I'm currently stuck at this point and unable to progress any further. The in-game video thumbnails are not displaying, especially the one labeled cam_004.
I've tried restarting the game in windowed mode, fullscreen, and after changing the resolution, but unfortunately the video still never appears. However, I can return to the main menu, so the game hasn't frozen.
I'm going to send you logs. Thanks in advance for your help.

Same here, i've tried multiple changes, but nothing seems to work. Running the game in admin mode, running the game with full screen optimization disabled, running the game in windows 8 compatibility mode, running epicgames in admin mode, switching between dx11 and dx12, the same problem. As soon as the game loaded a video, it cannot load a new video
this is what chatgpt's conclusion is, same conslusion i got to as well after reading the Player.log file

On there I still have the bug with videos not playing and the version on the main menu says "5090_1689_Windows"
