I remember NXT is having ratelimit issues every few months, currently I am working on a feature to prevent ratelimits effectively by reusing existing channels

Giving msg permission would require to delete all messages

Problem with purging is that it can only do 100 messages, so some channels might need multiple purges + I have to fetch the message first. So it can become API heavy.

Also if a channel somehow survives more then 2 weeks then older messages cannot be purged.

Wick probably does what I explained, difference is that wick only does this when you run a command, so its not api heavy, but when we have to purge every time a channel has to be reserved, it can become problematic when a lot channel are getting reserved

I am currently considering the deletion of all messages for the premium custom bots, there it won’t be an issue at all to fetch and delete the messages

These api requests won’t have an affect on the bigger public bot

To see the interface in the temp channels again it could also be solved like this:

I give the users back the read message history. Then you have to delete all temp channels. (Because of the private messages inside)

Then new temp channels with the interface message gets created which people can see.
