Tempvoice is messing up my whole server rn

What is going on

It suddenly doesnt create channels anymore

and now it creates a lot of random channels

Of course this shouldn’t happen and I apologise for it.

It’s very likely an discords api fault as from the bot. The api basically delivered the information to the bot too late and all at once instead in time

You can imagine it as trying to open a file on windows which doesn’t want to open even with spam clicking and then out of nowhere the file opens hundreds times

It’s currently 3:00 am for me. I will check your ticket again in an few hours. Please let me know if this issue still exists so we can find a solution for you

That might be because your server reached the total channel creation limit because the repo game and your server is so hyped currently

Discord does not allow to create more then 500 channels every 12 hours. Unfortunately that’s something I cannot bypass

This limit is server wide so other bots also won’t be able to create new channels

You can check it by trying any other bot that creates channels too

Unusually @golden lion sends you an DM when it was not able to create a channel but when a server reached it’s creation limit then discord stops sending any information to the bot

Its ratelimit only on your server as users spammed channels. The ratelimit is over in 7.5 hours.

I had to activate premium now with my account. When I improved the spam protection you have to use @golden lion again and activate premium again with your account again.

I added a new server wide cooldown which avoids more then 5 new channels within 30 seconds. I hope this will protect the bot more from spamming of many users at the same time

especially since we have like 4 different categories

i'd prob need the repo bot more often when it gets rate limited

The goal of the new cooldown is to not get server wide ratelimited anymore.

It’s 1 channel every >= seconds 6 seconds which is pretty fine. This number might change a little in future
