yea for now its a server I need to be active for. I do plan to have it open and running for 10-15 hours a day as I can easily AFK in game while doing IRL things
As for roles, that's not really a solid locked in tight thing as any role can be in conjunction with each other. Gathering and hunting can be done by 2 people or 1. depending on how people enjoy playing! I do a little bit of everything lol

I removed the password on the temp server I'm hosting. It depends on me being online for now. A friend plans to rent a server but thats down the road. I can send a steam invite if anyone would like to play on my friends lobby. Have quite a base built and am open to trades for anything. Got rocks but need food? Come see me....I'll load you up with food for days for every rock and flint possible. I'm building with a lot of stone.

I’ve been learning what I can about settings and such. On the non dedicated I’ve been playing, I turned on death package at feet because there’s no fast travel. With that, I can fast travel to campfires i or my tribe has placed as long as they are lit lol

you can use some initial settings from @final stump I think
like if server is on PvE then some camps will respawn exactly at midnight even if players are in them
if its set to PvP they will not respawn
works well for smaller groups but PvP is enabled in that case

I have tested the pvp switch. There is mild friendly fire but it is easily avoided. The barracks do in fact stay empty with that setting as long as one player remains inside the barracks. Allowing for safe retreat after clearing the barracks and killing the bosses.
You are also NOT allowed to build near or inside barracks or other POIs

Those 2 rules are in conflict
And I think some rule to set distance between each base may be helpful
People can put waypoint on the base that is close and then they see the exact distance from it so saying something like 200 meters between bases may be ok

I think similar to V-Rising and Valheim we will be able to move quickly and have snap votes where needed to get the server where everyone likes.

try to use #💀︱soulmask-chat channel, its more usable now when we host soulmask.
As for recognition .. we keep it vanilla.. if you think we should change it, you can always suggest it in #1110228324648755301 🙂
