My friend and I have experienced multiple random game crashes that count as a death and steal durability or break items. Same situation if one of us gets disconnected from the other. Considering there's really no way to control this, hopefully there will be a fix in the future that gives some sort of protection in these instances? I'm not really far along, so losing any gear is demotivating and losing it unfairly like this really hurts my interest to keep playing.
#Game Crashes Shouldn't take items

Yes absolutely! This will be fixed in a future update. And in general as the updates come in, each will be more performant than the last. Appreciate you reporting this problem.
Came here to post this too. I just had an hour or so on the same instance with danger meter maxed out just farming brightblood and having fun with the waves. Game crashed and most of my build only had one pip on each piece of gear and holobyte which were mostly epic level. Absolutely defeating.
Is there an acknowledged issue with staying in the same run for long periods of time with the danger meter full? I was just ran max danger farming mobs for little over an hour and had game crash due to fatal error. I didn't run from any groups that dropped and I was clearing them quicker than they were dropping. I lost the most important holobyte for this build and the worst part is that two of the three pips were lost because of this issue.
Tomorrow's update will include some caps on max danger spawns, right now they are uncapped and presumably your crash was related to that (without a crash dump we wouldn't be able to be sure).
I'd be happy to share any data that I can in order to help the efforts
If I was killing them all idk if being uncapped would pose an issue? Looking to pontificate and not argue here, I wonder if they drop in elsewhere on the map too? Or maybe managing the randomized radioactive areas from the meteors did it?
They can be active elsewhere in the map potentially. Meteor fields are capped, enemies weren't, so that's my first assumption as to the cause of the crash given you were persisting at DL 10 for an hour.
