-character progressing: each character should have their own separate skill and progression and innate passive and innate bonuses and skill. i player 15 hour ish, i am still to unlock a new character, i am still to unlock 1st tier character skill progression, and i am still to fins a purpose or reason to why it is layer out like that. there is no real reason to why i need to invest so much and heavy on a flat increase of hover board or glider timer, we can make those character bonuses when upgrading other stuff as in, "this character has an upgrade of 20% natural dmg reduction trade off for less armor and shield but that 20% gives a direct bonus of 4 sec plus towards glider" to give an example. this stems out that the game shows and uses the "medkit" interactions but there is also no clear indication of how to even get or make one. this needs to be further look into and worked on and tweaked, i know death is part of rouge lites but there is no real reason why make death the only way to progress the character

Characters already have unique progressions technically, you can increase their stats through the sycom equiped to them and they all have different max stats. Both Lapis and Vermillion start with 80 armor on their base Sycom while Goro's max is 80. And while some differences in stat are minimal, when you look at alternative Sycoms for the characters they differ more. For example
Lapis' alternative Sycom "Warrior" maxed out:
HP: 161
BATT: 95
ARMOR: 103
STRIKE: 140
BLAST: 105
STAM: 150
CRIT CHANCE: 5
CRIT DAMAGE: 230
OPS: 4
Goro's base Sycom "astrologer" maxed out
HP: 115
BATT: 140
ARMOR: 80
STRIKE: 105
BLAST: 140
STAM: 150
CRIT CHANCE: 5
CRIT DAMAGE: 220
OPS: 7
These stats do make a difference in game, like you can really feel the difference when you have more HP and armor. But I do think that characters could have more of a unique progression that would change more the way that you play them, like upgrading their passives.
Again, maybe I didn't express myself well, I am still with the stock character and I am talking based on that experience from stock character plus the patch of "we all now get a medkit"
And what I had in mind was more of unique gameplay rather than flat stats values cuz you can get that with gear as well, that's what I meant
In the words of the act man
Make that +4 hit really make the player moist cuz it's not just a +4 of hit but it carries on in VARIOS forms to other stats such as Mentioned before, gliding, weapon bonuses, etc
