#Keystones for passive tree please

PoE passive tree has a lot of iconic keystone passives and I believe a bunch of those would make good use in PoT:

  • Mind over Matter — pretty much same as in PoE, take portion of damage in mana instead of life
  • Resolute Technique — cannot crit, but may be all projectiles have homing?
  • Unwavering Stance — immune to knockback and confusion but cannot dodge or dash
  • Acrobatics — chance to dodge based on character's defense probably?
  • Blood Magic — same as in PoE: more life, no mana, use hp to cast/use skills
  • Pain Attunement — deal more damage based of missing % of hp
Also would be nice to have some notable passive nodes — right now all nodes feel like minor nodes. I saw that some ||mastery and jewel sockets|| are in work but its not quite the same feeling as taking Divine Judgement, Arcane Capacitor or Master Fletcher and having that immediate power boost.
Please don't make vegan powerless tree like in PoE2.

Note that we are trying not to copy PoE (or any other game's) content too directly, and ideally we'd have more original ideas & names instead of 1:1 clones

#

that being said, any of these are possible, and we'll absolutely be doing larger gameplay changes with passives, more than just +x to stat

If you're wondering, this is a spoiler for the reworked tree coming in the 0.3 update (This image is a tiny bit old and some things have changed, but it gives you the general idea)

If you have any questions Id be happy to answer as I worked on the tree. It is definitely PoE inspired but trying to be unique as Gabe said and expand on things terraria and PoT specific

Yeah, saw that image, also I overlook part about "notables". There are some in current version but clearly not enough 🙂

The new tree technically doesnt have notables, but with the focus on masteries, and it having keystones, I think that would be enough. But open to design change for sure in the future
