No, you can not reference assets between networks.
But as Soroban is live on futurenet, testnet and even pubnet you can deploy your contract(s) on any of those networks (*pubnet is currently in phase 0 and has restrictions that may not allow your contract to work there).

So how do I test my smart contract with "fake" USDCs? On Futurenet and it points to USDCs on Futurenet?
