On what kind of system/setup are you installing it? does installing any other things work, or does that also fail?

Not on other things

When I install version 0.9.4, then it installs it without any errors

but gives error when I try to install 20.0.0-rc2 version

Try installing it with ‘cargo-binstall’ it will download the prebuilt binary from GitHub. The issue is that it’s needed to allow you to fund an identity.
