Hi Community! DID stands for Decentralized ID. DID:STELLAR is an implementation of an identity layer for the stellar network, which will support development of applications in financial services such as KYC, universal login, sybil-resistance as well as non0financial applications such as environmental footprint-tracking or lack of identity challenges exploited by forced labor, and human trafficking. This implementation follows the DID W3C standards to ensure interoperability with other implementations such as the one promoted by the US Department of Homeland Security for people and product credentials, the upcoming EU eiDAS and independent organizations with SSI identity needs. The project will be released under a completely opened MIT license, formal inclusion of stellar in the W3C, integration to a universal resolver, which will allow any application to be able to resolve a DID to the Stellar network. We have currently delivered the first milestone which includes a DID Registry Smart contract and a DID Resolver library.

Some projects have already shown interest in using the DID infrastructure. If you feel like you have identity needs in your project and want to solve it and want a standardized solution, please reach out!

Hi DID: I'm curious, have you looked at https://www.petal.so/ ? It's a document signing service for Soroban using Stellar wallets. I'd be curious to learn if you could see the use of being intergrated, via API or if you see the benefit of our product.

Would love to hear your feedback.
