Hey community! 👋

WHO IS MYKOBO?
Over at MYKOBO, we have been busy building on Stellar over the past year.

Today we are tightly inter-connected on Stellar with over 2,750 trustlines, 518,230 Euro in overall traded volume and over 232,000 EURC in circulation.

Our work on SEP-31 has seen us interacting with partners worldwide providing local off-ramps for cross-border payments in countries that give MYKOBO coverage in over 30 African countries, Asia, LATAM and the US.

RECENT SUCCESS - AQUA PROPOSAL
We have also received support from the AQUA community (https://aqua.network/governance/proposal/78/) who have voted by an overwhelming 87% to give long-term support to the EURC liquidity pools namely XLM-EURC, EURC-USDC and AQUA-EURC.

Our pipeline has over 30 B2B clients at various stages, from onboarding to integration.

The more prominent clients are more familiar with using smart contracts for blockchain services and the learning curve for classic Stellar has been challenging.

WHY SOROBAN?
The objective of our SCF 15 proposal is to attract smart contract developers to Soroban by building out Soroban support across our services namely KYC, on and off-ramps, liquidity pools and asset swaps for the curated tokens we support namely XLM, EURC, USDC and AQUA.

We believe this will lead to more smart contract developers coming to Soroban and building more dapps with utility. We will also open-source this project to lower the barriers to entry.

PROGRESS WITH SOROBAN
Since our submission, the first deliverable has been completed and we have also already started reaching out to smart contract developers and entrepreneurs to join the Soroban wave with 2 Soroban-specific projects in the pipeline.

We are looking forward to engaging with the community about our project and our plans for the future.

Hey,
I have a few questions.

  • Are you wrapping the EURC token using the native Stellar Asset Contract? If not, why not?
  • Don't you already have KYC implemented for EURC?
  • Why do you need to "Implementation of the banking rail to support deposits." ? Isn't this allready there for EURC?
  • Why do you need to "Implement EURC Soroban - Wrapped USDC, Wrapped XLM - EURC Soroban and Wrapped AQUA - EURC Soroban liquidity pools."? Why not use native pools?

Hi Rahim,

We are wrapping the EURC token using the cli tooling which I believe uses the Stellar Asset Contract.

We do have KYC implemented but bear in mind KYC itself is off chain. This is a means of somehow indicating that the owner of the account/wallet has gone through our off-line KYC but represent that on-chain.

Once again with the rails question. We would like to invoke a rails operation as a result of an effect on-chain. This is more of a future-proofing strategy than anything else, because we can then react to on-chain events rather than explicit invocations of our rails..

Finally we do need to wrap those assets because they are at the moment "classic" and need representation on the network that soroban runs on

on your attestations page you mention a quarterly audit conducted by an independent firm, when is the earliest that will be provided?

We have received an Activation Award in SCF #23 and now actively working on developing an MVP together with Paltalabs (you might now the Esteban aka@pure spire )
Currently we are searching for a partner with whom to integrate and develop the users subscription module for Gladius. We thought of using Stellar Anchors (on and off ramps). I saw your Circle EURC project in SCF#23 and it looked like a perfect match for us. Can we discuss a possible PoC in PM?
