When I click to update the launcher it goes to an error box with a choice to continue anyway and it stays on downloading. Any way to fix this?

Then it sounds like you had antivirus quarantine the updater program or something along those lines

you might need to re-extract files again and just add folder as exception or such...but it's what sounded like happened
