Its working "data.customkey"
Thanks for sharing @scenic fern
Did you find this in doc somewhere?
No @river pumice , I'm just tired
Sorry for inconvenience
We will make sure it is communicated better in docs on how to use custom data key in conditions
Hi @scenic fern
We just highlighted this in our documentation.
https://docs.novu.co/workflows/step-filters#condition-rule
Are you facing any other issues? Anything I can help with?
Hi @river pumice , No, I'm not facing any issues .Thanks for sharing the details.
I thought you are facing any more issue as you mentioned you are tired 🙂
Thanks for the update
Would you like to share how you are planning to use Novu
I need to send emails for users with dynamic data based on some conditions. I'm using subscriber data for setting Conditions.
How the contain will work in condition ?
can I use like this "contain 1,2,3,4"?
@scenic fern
If I apply this condition and send name value in payload
it will match the exact characters and placement of characters.
contain 1,2,3,4 will not work
so combination of "And" and "OR" is not possible right ??
Understood @river pumice. is there any way to check dates in condition ?
"completed date is 2 days ago" or "booking date is 5 days away" like this ?
okay @river pumice Thanks for you support.
Hi @river pumice , I have some doubts.
- What is different between equal and contain in condition ?
- Is there a any feature in Novu that allows the workflow to be automatically triggered through scheduling
Thanks
@scenic fern
equal will do the exact equality check like abc is equal to abc but abc is not equal to ab
contains will check if the part is present or not
for example:-
abc contains ab
abc does not contains cd
Is there a any feature in Novu that allows the workflow to be automatically triggered through scheduling
Currently, no scheduling the triggering of workflow is not suported.
Would you like to share how you want to us this feature?
@scenic fern, you just advanced to level 2!
Yes Sure, I want send emails to students using condtion like below
ContractStatus is active or inactive
AND CurrentUnit equals 5 or 9or 13or 17or 21or 25or 29or 33or 37or 41or 45or 49or 53or 57or 61or 65or 69or 73or 77
AND where property CourseStatus is Second Level
and I'm exploring the possibility of internally triggering the Novu workflow through scheduling, rather than creating an external scheduled job.
You will need to add different rules for these conditions
Untill we support schedule trigger, I think this is the best option
Sorry I'm not getting it, what do you mean by rules ? How can I do it ?
Sorry for confusion.
By rule I meant one condition
Multiple conditions can be combined using OR and AND operator
Is Combination of AND and OR will Work ? I cant see once changed to and for one condition other conditions is also changing. its working same for me as well
Yes combination will work.
I see this is UI bug.
Sharing it with team
Hi @river pumice, after getting your replay I tried with multiple conditions in combination of "AND" and "OR". Still its not workinf for me.
Yeah @scenic fern
There is a bug.
I will keep you posted
Thanks @river pumice 😍
