You can earn them though it’s slow atm. Got 10 points towards unlocking Amy in the current free season pass rewards but completing season quests.

i understand your opinion buying all the new heroes is hard, but with a small investment you can buy 1 of the premium heroes and still benefit of it
the more you have the more hp ofc but if you would buy lana for example the extra hp is less important then the benefit you have from lana's hero
