The cards them selves have the same odds for getting a legendary. The epic pack gives a slight advantage in watts, the basic packs give more points for CMC. Personally, I like the epic packs. Most people recommend the basic packs. Do not buy the rare 5k packs, it's the worst option.
And for clarification, the 50k coin pack is called Epic Basic Pack, not super epic pack. That's something else entirely and costs 2k challenge coins.
