even if it was mandatory i'd disagree with it being unplayable, whatever happened to just saying "damn this game sucks" rather than throwing out the whole game entirely over one thing

It's pretty unplayable. and it's not just that but they still haven't fixed honeycomb on mobile, they still haven't fixed marbles connecting bug, and now this. It's pretty unplayable. They don't fix what really needs to be fixed and instead keep adding unnecessary things.

and let's be honest the update is not the only reason the playerbase tanked. there's multiple reasons why a player would stop playing and blaming it solely on the update because you don't like it is a little childish

Okay, let me explain this to you in further detail. If you still don't understand, this is no longer on me, it is a you problem.
SGX is still doing fine, all things considered. Genuinely, come and say this when it hits under 10k players, it still has 20k and i genuinely feel you're overreacting just because you can't handle change. games like these (based on tv shows, that require hype for any interest) take hits all the time for playerbase. acting like this game is going to have over 10k+ forever is dumb. once Squid Game hype dies down, this game is dead anyways. The difference between 20k and 40k now is just the dev team and owners making more money in the short term. Squid Game games aren't built to last. they only succeed because SG is popular

like i'm not downplaying jack diddly, i genuinely can't begin to understand the thought process of thinking 20k in game over a game cashing out on tv show hype is a sign of a game dying. i don't care that it's half the players, man. the game still has a dedicated playerbase, because it hits 20k daily still. consider coping or moving to a new game, and stop using playercount to try and bully the team into making the game worse again just because you preferred when it was worse

based on my edit timepieces it took 20 minutes (obviously not 20 minutes of straight proofreading, just the edit is 20 minutes after i originally posted) because i was proofreading because i make mistakes when writing longform content. it literally only took me 4 minutes to write the original posts haha. i'm just a poor writer. if i hadn't proofread it would've taken me shorter but i wouldn't have been as happy about what i wrote than when i looked it over and edited it. normalize proofreading 👍
