#Strainer/Pop the Top lid off the Cobbler

This isn't do or die I guess, but the game does a good job with converting the bartending experience to VR that it was a bit surprising that straining was not something considered!

It might just be a 'detail', but it's something that I think would make the game feel complete as a simplified cocktail mixing experience. I like the reduced alcohol rack, the garnishes, the torch and the way the fridge works~! Being able to strain the drink using the cobblers inbuilt strainer would make serving feel very natural~
(as a side note too, someone else already mentioned, but supported double handed shaking would be ace too, tho I was able to fake it a bit even with index)

Bonus points too if stir mixing is added to the game as well JessiHappy !

-# I also wanted to add this, but the suggestion would be very minor to make its own poll for, but straws would make for a nice addition to the garnish set too! straws are nice and I reckon it'd fit drinks like the Bina Koala~!

(what the hell is straining)

Similar to the pasta filter, you use it to let the liquid flow through but keep the larger chunks back from going into the drink. For when you don't want large chunks of ice falling into a drink.

It was considered and it was a common complaint

From real bartenders

But it's complicated to implement, messy to interact with, and will confuse players even more, especially those with no bartending experience, which is most players

#

The double handed shaking was also a feature at some point but it was too buggy

#

Will add that in the full game though once we have more resources

I see! Has it been experimented with having the top lid be the one that's pulled off only after the sparkles? then resetting behavior once fully drained/below a threshold? (or thrown out of course)

my immediate thought is that'd be out of the players hand, less finicky, and may help physically identify a finished shake? given you wouldn't be adding anything new or nothin to the drink anyway.
-# the top lid could also be dissolve faded back onto the main lid after its done too~ remove that step from players hands JessicaSmart

I'm sure this has been tested a fair bit given the response but I'd like to still throw my hat in~ clearly there's weight to straining being a confusing concept for people who've never cocked a tail before J322Lul Shrug
-# completely understand aswell if it's an "extra thing that might break and ultimately not different to the gameplay process" I am tunnel visioned as someone whose bartended before SeiNodders

it is a bit confusing how the ice disappears and the drink is ready to pour, but keeping track of another tiny item on the counter wouldn't add fun to the game

#

i'd love to use the upper shaker lid to strain like real bartenders do if that's more possible

I think I may have worded it too reductively, but the "top lid" is what I mean by taking off the part of the Cobler shaker that opens up the inbuilt shaker

#

Although it would be small, the prospect I wanted to put forward was not having to deal with it, by having it dissolve fade back onto the shakers lid~ But also lids seem to be a common design language of every other item in the bar so it may not be too bad in context

You're comparing a virtual bartending experience with emulated aspects to one that is gameplay-focused. pac-man does not require you to manually chew ghosts.

yeah this is defs gonna be a controversial design choice which is i mentioned real bartenders would probably hate project mix. i would actually love to see a professional bartender make fun of project mix in a video
