Thanks so much for the encouragement. I guess sometimes I had my guides without a mannequin was quite difficult for me. Had to look through Pinterest to see preferences. And i feel like I could improve more on it, too. Quite difficult to know if I'm "proud", so I had to keep doing more.

art is an iterative process of constant improvement that'll last your entire life, constantly trying out new things and discovering new techniques to improve your craft c:

for the manikin thing, there are many options; from physical manikins, to referencing pictures of people you find online, to 3d models in programs like CSP and various 3d manikin programs and websites. i know for me, one thing ive ended up having to do multiple times was taking pics of myself with my webcam in order to get the reference material i was looking for. like in the shupo pic, i had to take some unflattering pics of me in a coat, doing the same poses as them in order to get the reference material lmao

and i feel you about not being sure if you're proud of your work. i'm like that for a lot of my art too. but it's important every now and again to look back and appreciate the work you've done, and how far you've come since then.
