Shiro have auto attacks that are random and the big balls is not something you can tank with a regular tank. B.Hoshino is the only exception to that rule.

Kuro also have random auto attacks, and how the rest of the phase will go down, will entirely depends on your positioning at the start of formation. Tank can help here, but you have to be knowledgeable about what you are doing if you want a tank to work as bait to one of the wheels so your DPS / support lives longer.

But generally speaking, tanks here aren't really a role you "must fulfill" like other raids. You would do better bringing a support instead of a general tank that only work occasionally for phase 2.
