#Mirror Warship Lookover

I do have 2 ex upgrade tokens, but I'm saving them for a ship I REALLY want to upgrade.
seems pretty straight forward in terms of gear.
in terms of seatings, personally id switch FAW and Torpedo Spread around, for FAW1 and TS3.
in terms of doffs, you have boimler + chrono capacitor + po1, so you don't need a2b and technicians for supplement cdr.
That brings us back to seatings and doffs, where id drop a2b for EptW2, and repalce EptW3 with another ucon trigger.
you can then replace the technicians with +crth abd +crtd energy weapons officers (1 each).
I do have this guy, is he worth slotting over one of the EWOs?
i've heard that this doff is tied to misfires of firing mods, so I wont recommend using him for now
It seems I only have 2 crit severity EWOs, no crit chance.
Where can I get some more EWO Doffs? exchange?
most efficient way would be the exchange.
is the exchange doff menu bugged?
I'm seeing the stats for the doffs either not exist or all change to the exact same effect.
it's somewhat bugged but (at least on my end) the hovering tooltips tend to be accurate. just takes a few seconds per doff
in terms of your bridge, i'd recommend dropping AP Omega, and upgrading Beta to rank 3 instead. this lets you upgrade TSpread to rank 2 and use some filler ability (the budget friendly one would be tac team) in the leftmost slot
So like this?
Also, I changed eptw3 to eptw2, and included emit unstable warp bubble II, since it's the only one aside from warp plasma which triggers Uncon (from what i've read from stowiki). (I also just realised that they put eachother on a cooldown, so Idk what to change it to actually.)
Hold on, boimler seems to effect all the engi abilities
the shared cd between warp bubble and plasma is short enough to warrant using both
like epte and eptw have a shared cooldown as well but can be alternated without losing uptime on either
Equiped plasma 3 over plasma 2 since I just saw it existed.
honestly, i'd just go warp plasma 1 and RSP3. don't feel the 1 uncon per minute from warp bubble is very relevant, especially in your case where there are not very many clickie consoles on the build
So like this?
rq, just going to post my tray layout, and ask if I've got the abilities in the right layout.
if I'm right, 1st row is cycle, 2nd is buffs, 3rd is for long cooldowns, and the rest are manual clickies.
i'd move QSM to manual, pop it right before some important gravwell
RSP to manual as well, as a panic button
for those two, i'd suggest moving tac initiative and vuln assessment over to bars (long cd or buff), bc those aren't quite impactful enought to be worth triggering manually
anti time sing to manual as well. works best in combination with a gravwell
in terms of order of activations, it's usually recommended to put the firing mode in the first slot of the spambar (anecdotal evidence says that reduces misfires). personally i also tend to not place two firing modes next to each other on the bar, since that caused a few misfires too (and ETM takes a moment to trigger, so even with no misfire, it might activate FAW and TS together before one can lock out the other)
i'd go something like
spread - eptw - beta - PO - Kemo - faw - (rest in any order)
I remember someone saying that PO should be last, since (i think) it reduces recharge on abilities already on cooldown, and not after it's been popped. + the 1sec activation time.
Also, since I now have Terran Goodbye, Which trait should I switch out for it? or do I just use 1 starship upgrade for an extra trait slot + Uni slot?
updated pic
that was aux2bat. PO reduces by a percentage per second, so having it early lets it cd stuff while you're still activating other stuff
whether you want to use an upgrade is up to you. imho the weakest one you currently have equipped would be Carrier Wave.
Ah, ok that was it.
Yeah, without any intel, carrier wave is weak
tractor beam is a good enough trigger - the thing is just that you're running energy weapons, so shields aren't too much of a problem at this point. shield disabling is important for torp builds, since kinetic damage is heavily reduced against shields. your only kinetics are one torp and KCB so not too much
Should I swap out tractor
also, you'll likely add Chronophage at some point, which is also a shield disabler
nope, still need that for uncon
and pilfered
tractor beam can be used to trigger like a dozen things. listing the ones on your build:
-> uncon (3 triggers per minute)
-> formerly carrier wave
-> pilfered power (bc control)
-> Boimler (decently low cd ability)
-> regenerative control synergy (which you should swap in instead of Living Hull, that one's twice as effective)
and ofc the fact that it holds enemies in place also doesn't hurt
krenim chronophage?
I do already have that on my sci ship.
Should i swap out one of my matrix infusers for it?
either an infuser or an isomag, depending on how much durability you need
scratch that - at this point swapping out AssMod will probably be better than either. Assmod only gets worthwhile once you're running FPNA so your haste is good enough to get decent uptime on the power cot reduction
So with AssMod gone, is the KCB still worth using?
or should I try and find a replacement?
have a look at a parse. if KCB can hold up with an omni then keep it. if it's significantly lower, swap in an array
Parse?
when you enable combatlog before fighting something, you can use a parsing software (like OSCR or CLA, see #oscr-support and #combatlog-analyzer ) to view statistics of the combat. which weapon did how much damage, that sort of stuff
since weapon performance depends on so many factors, it's often way better to look at a parse than to try and calculate which would be better than which.
if you're interested in number go up, it can also be fun to analyze combats afterwards and see what worked how well and adjust the build accordingly. that (in a somewhat simplified depicition) is something that DPS runners do to refine their build. the analysis can get as complex as you want to - but even at a base level of "total damage from each weapon" you can get a lot of information out of it. like whether or not KCB can hold up with your other weapons
So how does it work? like, if I got CombatLogAnalyzer, what do I put into the chat to activate it? and do i activate it before the mission, or before I start shooting?
/combatlog 1 to start the log (at any point before the combat. or even in combat, it just starts logging any damage from the point you enter it), and /combatlog 0 afterwards.
when you open cla, you go to Settings (upper left corner) and select the path where your combatlog is. the one you see in my screenshot is for a steam installation, but the log always is in .../live/logs/gameclient.
this (-noautorotatelogs) is the launcher options to have the log be called combatlog.log. if you don't have the option set, then the logfile will have a datetime stamp added to its name (and the game creates a new logfile every hour). can be analyzed just as well, the command line option just makes it so you don't have to set the logfile in your parser every time
What should I run for an initial test?
the classic seems to be Solo infected conduit Elite, but I know I ain't ready for elite rn.
a classic one any decent build can complete is Wanted patrol (argala) on elite
or Infected on advanced
or ISE in a team
if your goal is just comparing two weapons, then any combat that's longer than a few single ships will do.
standardized testing is mainly used for comparing different builds and pilots. for pieces on a single build... if A does 50k dps and B does 40k dps in a run, that's not more information than if A does 5k and B does 4k in another (lower) run. bc you're comparing them against each other, not against another parse
ok, i found the log, idk if I did it incorrectly 'cause it's not showing individual damage, but this is what I got.
it was wanted elite
go to the "outgoing damage" tab. you're still on the summary page
and with the little arrows to the left you can expand or collapse rows
KCB came 6th, how would you want a screen shot?
would probably help
idk why the phaser wide angle dual heavy beam is noted as 0 across the board
would need to expand the line but it looks like one missed shot with each faw2 and faw1 was put into its own line. 0 damage bc the shot missed. the dbb pops up with damage as well, like in row 8
expand line?
little arrow to the left
about the initial query tho: KCB clocks in at about 2/3rds of the damage the trilithium omni did. so i'd say it's probably worth replacing it with an array for now.
the thing with KCB is that it has a higher base damage than regular beams, but doesn't benefit off firing modes or weapon specific cat1 (like from isomags). so it's quite excellent on mag-less Krait builds, but falls behind on builds with many passive damage buffs
Also, the chronphage, does that ability go in the cooldown part of the tray> or does it go alongside Grav Well?
i'd suggest you experiment with it in different positions and see what works for you
i'm running a pretty different setup for my activations personally, so can't rly tell you where it will fit in to your scheme
I feel like either Ouroboros Driver or Concealed Repairs would make a good 7th trait.
Also, any devices / consumables I could put in the 5th slot?
are you saying to take off both red matter and tzenkethi and replace them with Deut?
Does having 2 deut stacks 'cause the other one to have a different cooldown?
So, you want to be focus on energy amp?
or use both energy amp and Deut?
Updated png.
I do now have Flagship Staffing and Temporal Tunneling, so idk what I wanna switch out one of them for.
I know TT needs to be included.
Would KCB even work without the AssMod? Since I don't really have any space for it, unless I take off a Protomatter.
Also, Krassl said this about the KCB
"the thing with KCB is that it has a higher base damage than regular beams, but doesn't benefit off firing modes or weapon specific cat1 (like from isomags). so it's quite excellent on mag-less Krait builds, but falls behind on builds with many passive damage buffs"
pro positioning?
I'm guessing you're saying to replace Carrier wave and Ouroboros with Flagship and Temporal?
Also, does Flagship target self? it says allied targets, so idk if that means self.
Also also, why is One impossible thing mentioned?
Yes, Flagship does target Self
Swapped carrier and Impossible.
I feel like Losing out on -5% recharge time on captain abilities is not that much of a loss, especially since it effects teammates, so someone else could pop it.
Another thing, Before I got FPNA, I would run a 100/15/70/15 subsystem ratio, but now that I've got FPNA, Should I now start using a 100/15/15/70 subsystem Ratio? AKA, all power into Wpn and Aux, rather than Wpn and Eng?
What if I can't equip OSS 3?
Would FPNA by itself (or with Batteries, but I usually forget to use them) still work just as well?
Could I try and swap between both engine and aux power when in / out of combat?
I know you can save power presets and hotswitch between them.
Where would you put FPNA in the tray?
Would It just go in the cycle or buff tray? Or would you put it in its own corner with the battery and OSS so then you can have a bind activate all 3?
