#Section 31 Heavy Battlecruiser - Mine/Torp Build

so, weaker uni? I mean there are all strong and with good clicky/passive buffs yk?
A very good projectile console from the lexington
Wouldn't attack pattern Omega work better instead of beta since beta doesn't stack and almost everybody runs beta
yes and no, i mean, you can be sure that you make the resistance down so, is that maybe a good idea to hold beta in the build
Yeah, but the domino console makes dmg buff + recharge boff and torps so idk
Okay
Beta does stack from multiple sources
The not stacking part of eta is that your own copy of the beta debuff refreshes instead of doubling when you hit the target again. But if two different ships run beta, there will be two stacks of the debuff on the target. ie: always run beta if you can
This console (alongside domino as already mentioned) is your weakest link atm
i am open for tips
loactors would be the baseline
after that, it becomes situational - some that come to mind are chronophage, Eleos, Agony Redistributor
but the kinetic variant or for torps?
[torpedo] loactors exist
BIC is definitely not better than Eleos. Eleos gets you much more reliable Boff and torp cds and gives you critd and crith while BIC only has slightly more critd which doesn't really even matter when you get huge amounts of cat2 from phased space membrane.
eleos in an eng slot provides more aux power than it takes. and its buffs are toggles, so not only can they be always up, you can even "store" the 15 aux with the aux toggle, and regain them by toggling it off while PSM is running. so not only does it not hinder PSM, it can actually help maintain it a second longer when used actively
you dont need to manage it just leave it on either way its still much better than BIC even on torps
Uhm
Explain then why is eleos better than BIC in torps? @verbal nimbus
It's kinda not. The bridge cooldowns and stuff straight up don't matter
explain how bic is better lol
Reliable source of the same amount of cat-2
and yeah CDs dont really matter for me I'm happy with just boimler lol
Correct
and eleos is not a reliable source of cat2?
No because you have to micromanage it while also micromanaging 4 torpedos
but I know many others are much more ocd about CD management
You can OCD about CD management, it's just not going to increase your ceiling
Funny how people finally stopped running PO1 on boimler builds now
But off topic
But back to Eleos decent source of crith, haste is nice bonus for experimentals if running one and I dont really see a reason why you would need to manage it
+5% crit chance and 15% crit severity barely outperform Bio-Neural in raw Cat-2...
However
This is weapons only crit
as stated earlier here if you have it in the eng slot it will get more aux power than not having it at all
While Bio-Neural is all sources crit
Only about 50 or 60% of your damage on torpedos is from weapons
The rest is DOT stacking, consoles etc
5% crth and 15% crtd come out at right around 30% Cat-2 constant at our typical crit values currently
Bioneural at around 100% crit chance which is still very possible on torpeds provides us with what, 27%-ish consistent Cat-2?
So
30% Cat-2 constant for 60% of your damage sources with some extra clicks required vs 27% Cat-2 constant for 100% of your damage sources and you can forget about it
Which one would you pick based on that
I know eleos is cool and bioneural isn't fancy anymore but, yknow
That's asuming the build is essentially a minmax build for supported runs no?
and if I was doing that I'd run neither console
It works in general use too
You farm a ton of DPS just from subspatial for example (especially on some maps)
Which eleos doesn't buff
Bioneural does
Same with kinetic shearing etc
Your tricobalt warhead console
And your other kinetic damage clickies
And the neutronic torpedo radiation burst which can do well too if used right as it's not a weapon but a secondary effect
Kemocite stacking
I think I've made my point.
Fair, I can admit I was wrong. BIC will be more potent at high crit levels and I should probably revisit some of my builds but you mentioned kinetic shearing benefitting from critd but when I look at old parses its at 0% crith so what am I missing on my build for it to not crit?
No that's me being stupid
and same for varuvian
Yeah yeah I was just wondering if it was weird with crits or something
