It does look like she was put onto an ice panel.
Because I do remember some other report (in Santa's Workshop I believe) long while ago with a glitch regarding ice panels.

Okay, we confirmed in Frost Cave. Thanks to HAT, Inferno does hit players standing on an ice panel. That rules out the ice panel as the suspect.

yeah, it's probably convergence being weird. I wonder if positional stuff like blazing also has similar issues

I have additionally investigated this bug.
It appears that Magical Inferno does not hit characters who have not moved one panel since Convergence occurred.
Blazing did hit, so this may be a bug specific to Magical Inferno.
