Power: 6, 5/8
Keyword(s): Tough, Hunter/Frenzy
Ability: N/A (When defeated the first time, becomes either a power 5 creature with Hunter or a power 8 creature with Frenzy)

What a fun design. Very adaptable based on what else you have in hand or play.

#

For clarification, this is a unique tough creature. Once it is exhausted, the player who controls this can choose to rotate it 90 degrees on either side. Depending on which side it is rotated, it is either a 5 Hunter or 8 Frenzy for the rest of the game. It cannot be flipped to the other side later in the game.

#

Surprisingly, I've found that new players (who already learnt the basic game and tough mechanic) do not get confused or need detailed explanations about this card. They were mostly able to easily deduce what it does without needing a clarification. This goes to show how intuitive this design is 🙌

We need more of these types of tough cards

Definitely agree, this is just a really cool card with a super fun/interesting mechanic. I love that it’s such a versatile card.

First, it can take a hit to protect another creature, and then you can choose which of the 5/Hunter or 8/Frenzy is more useful for the current game state, and then go with that!

I'd also love to see a card with like a GUARD of sorts. You cant select other creatures to block with HUNTER cards while GUARD is on the board

That’s cool! Gives me a fun idea for a card

Personally I am biased against this card because how it removes a tough variant, but understand why others like it.

For me the 5/8 sides are subpar, but the flexibility and the skill to use is attractive.

Love this one for its flexibility ingame and generally for its unique mechanism. I hope for some more creatures with this type of mechanism, too 👍

#

Although this one here won't be that unique anymore then 😉

But yeah, this is even better

#

Especially considering it's stronger than all hunters in the set

Quite interesting card. It is pretty flexible and having this ability to choose based on the situation is quite valuable

#

Most a defensive wait-and-see card. Doesn’t add a big immediate threat

Quick rule question: If I attack with Sluggernaut (tough) and it would die and I flip it to frenzy, can I attack with it again?

Yes indeed
