As strong as this guys looks on first glance, he's really quite situational. He can be a solid blocker but as far as the effect goes it's super expensive for what it does. You mostly will not want to use it but it will get you out of a tight spot. If he's on the board you more often then not would sacrifice him instead of letting the attack through so you can keep him on the board. All in all a good card, just like every other card in this game just very situational with the effect.

A very good entry creature imo

Agreed. I think it can be really good in very specific situations as a starting card, paired with mermaid or axololtl... but I mostly tend to use as discard / give away fodder. It can indeed be a decent blocker but 7 power doesn't really block the big boys either. Overall, losing 1 out of 3 life to defeat only 1 creature isn't as good. Would've loved to have a lesser penalty, better effect or bigger stats.

Yeah Count Draculeech is definitely very situational, best used when you have life advantage over your opponent. Otherwise, even though the life penalty is strict, it might be worth it if you can use it to get rid of a big threat that you couldn't otherwise get rid of.

Like Kush said, it works well with Mysterious Mermaid and Axolotl Healer. It also works well with Hyenix, as Draculeech can bring it back from the discard pile whenever it attacks.

This is one that falls a bit on the weaker side, which is a shame. If I were to remake it now, I would likely make the ability optional / make it a bit bigger / give it frenzy

#

It is a quite unique ability and some of the most flexible removal in the game as when you have it set up, tou can defeat whatever you want whenever you want

#

The card shines when the opponent does not have a good blocker for the attack

#

Weird fun fact: In the prototype he was called Baghead

If Count Draculeech is the only creature on board and attacks, he is defeated by it's own effect.

But I guess this happens almost never. The opponent would need to finish their turn without any creatures and even then you can just play a creature instead of attacking with Count Draculeech.

Indeed 🙂
